DILG invites CSOs to attend assemblies in Misamis Occidental

OROQUIETA City – The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), here, has invited all civil society organizations (CSO’s) to attend the CSO assembly in their respective local government units (LGU’s) set from Oct. 20-31, this year. These CSO’s are needed in identifying the povertyreduction projects for the community through the participatory approach in planning for their budget and implementation in 2016, Sanivier G. Patoc, provincial director of DILGMis. Occ., said.

The assembly aims to go through the process of conducting poverty analysis and crafting of poverty-reduction strategies and targets to ensure the implementation of the projects towards the realization of achieving the inclusive growth called for in the Philippine Development Plan (PDP), Patoc said. Invited to the assembly are leaders of CSO’s accredited by the LGU’s, accredited or recognized by the national government agencies (NGA’s), women’s groups. See dilg, page B2

ZAMBOANGA City – The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) exceeded by P102,783,255.53 its target revenue collection goal for the month of September this year in Western Mindanao. TESDA allots P32M for tech-voc courses in C. de Oro By Jasper Marie Oblina-Rucat

CAGAYAN de Oro City More than P32 million is allotted to Cagayan de Oro for technical vocational (tech-voc) courses and programs this year. This was revealed by Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) Secretary Joel Villanueva during his recent visit in the city for the Shoot Your Dreams advocacy with Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) legends. He said TESDA is for JOBS, for transforming lives. There are already 302,000 students enrolled in TESDA courses. Meanwhile 15 courses are free and seven courses that may be downloaded online. Sec.
