CAGAYAN de Oro Vice Mayor Caesar Ian Acenas made good his vow to dialogue with Oro Solid Waste Management Board co-chair Fr. Roberto Yap, the president of Xavier University. Acenas did a one-hour closed door meeting with Yap Tuesday afternoon (August 12) at the Jesuit priest’s office located inside the university’s main campus at the heart of Cagayan de Oro. Earlier, Acenas promised to an audience called for by the university’s Research and Social Outreach (RSO) office last August 4 that he is willing to discuss the city’s budgetary concerns with the university. In that forum, he did not specify about the brewing garbage problem in the city and his deadlock with the Oro Solid Waste Management Board.
