Briefly Food supply THE Depar tment of Social We lfare an d D eve l o p me nt (DSWD) has assured regular provision of food and assistance to rising number of displaced families currently sheltered in evacuation centers in Zamboanga City affected by the one-week armed conflict. In its twitter account, the DSWD disclosed that as of 2 p.m. Monday, about 16,473 families or 81,806 individuals have been affected by the on-going clash between government forces and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF). A b o u t 13 ,0 28 fa m i l i e s equivalent to 67,845 individuals are still staying in 24 evacuation centers situated therein.

HE country’s image may have been tarnished by continued fighting between government troops and a faction of the Moro National Liberation Front, but the financial market shows no sign of hiccup from the ongoing crisis.
Entering its tenth day since the fighting erupted last week, about 80,000 people have been displaced while hundreds of homes, a nd severa l publ ic a nd commercial buildings have been destroyed. Flights and ferry services are suspended. Yesterday, the Philippine stock market continued its

In kind donations such as rice, instant noodles and other halal food, bottled water, and medicine may be delivered to the Kristohanong Katilingban sa Pagpakabana (KKP) Office, Xavier University.
