Briefly Chamber lauds ‘Hapsay’ THE Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Found ation, Inc. (ORO CHAMBER) on Friday lauded the city government’s move to widen major roads by phasing out the mini stalls of sidewalk vendors and even suspending the operations of the famed Night Café here. The business group was glad to note that sales had improved among many of its member-companies especially those located in the Plaza Divisoria area. “We are happy to receive reports from our members of sales improvement,” said Oro Chamber President Efren Uy. Uy believes that in freeing the streets with sidewalk vendors, legitimate enterprises can already cater to more customers because of increased visibility of their stores, not to mention the absence of clutter.
