Briefly CCTV Ordinance THE implementation of the law requiring high-risk establishments to install closed-circuit televisions (CCTV) in the premises will strictly be implemented in Cagayan de Oro City. Following July 26 bomb blast, the City Council committee on police, fire and public safety chaired by Councilor Ramon G. Tabor during its meeting last August 1 adopted a resolution requesting City Police Director PS/Supt. Graciano Mijares to immediately conduct inspections in establishments and submit a report of those not complying with Ordinance No. 11075-2008. The ordinance requires the installation of CCTVs or video sur veillance systems in the premises of private establishments and public places. It provides the specifications of the cameras to be installed. Banks, depar tment stores, shopping malls, secondar y schools, colleges and universities, gasoline stations, pawnshops, lending institutions, convenience stores and all similar establishments that are open for more than 12 hours a day are covered under the ordinance.

Entrepreneurship MARAWI City -- The Technical Education and Skills Development Authorit y ( TESDA) here is conducting a six-day training to capacitate existing technicalvocational (tecvoc) trainers on entrepreneurship development. Trainers from 23 technical institutions in the province par ticipated in the training which started July 28 and will culminate tomorrow, August 2, said TESDA Provincial Director Tarhata Mapandi. She said the training aims to strengthen the capacity of technical institutions in the delivery of entrepreneurshiprelated competencies and in providing training for their clients, especially the youth.
