During the first ever Hog Raisers’ Forum here on Friday, Agriculture Secretary Manny Piñol said the Duterte administration is focusing on the country’s agriculture players to ensure that there is enough food for Filipino families.

About 400 small and medium hog farmers attended the forum organized by North Cotabato First District board member Socrates Piñol and the local government of Libungan.

Ferdinand Piñol, the secretary’s executive assistant, told the hog raisers and other farmers to air out their concerns because the agriculture department is listening.

“We were sent here by Secretary Manny to simply show to you that we are serious in helping you in your farming ventures. Thus, tell us what you need so that we may know what projects we are going to give you,” the younger Piñol said.

LABOR and Employment Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III said the Department will assess 5,150 registered contractors and subcontractors in 2016 as part of its strategy to end illegitimate forms of contracting/ subcontracting and other short-term employment arrangements.

“As initial target and based on administrative data of the Bureau of Working Conditions (BWC), DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment) will assess 5,150 registered contractors and subcontractors of 26,194 principals,” said Bello, adding that the figure was part of the agreement during the Consultation Workshop on Ending “Endo” held on July 18-19, 2016.

Building trust and confidence among students

Yes, the moment our students enter school, they definitely expect that, aside from they will learn, that they will be shaped and developed into better individuals.

One of the challenges that teaching posts is to build trust and confidence among teachers and students. Basically, it is of respect nurtured by these trust and confidence. As a teacher, it is of great paramount that you and your students trust each other, confide to each other.

How can we build trust and confidence in a classroom teaching? While it is true that we exist and serve to provide quality

education to our students, it is true also that we should be nurturing them more to be holistic individuals, thus providing them with holistic education, of course in a holistic approach.

First, foster and establish respect. Students believe in us, believe in everything we say and everything we do. The notion of “Ingon ni teacher inanhe” and “Ingon ni teacher inadto”. Yes, students believe of every single thing that comes out from the mouth of a teacher.

That is why, as much as we teachers want to be respected, we should respect our studenta also. Gone are the days when students fear their teachers, instead

I will always faithfully and religiously inspire the students of Lugait National High School so that in one way or the other, we will altogether achieve and attain success in the future.

Stress is like a bomb when it explodes it destroys the whole system.

It strikes anywhere and even anytime of the day, a very unpredictable or inevitable circumstance that cannot be refused.

Everybody in this society experienced stress and it all depends of the individual on how to interact.

Often times, pressures in the workplace are unavoidable due to the demand of the contemporary work environment (United States National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health).Although there are pressures perceived as acceptable by an individual, may even keep workers alert, motivated, able to work and learn, depending on the available resources and personal characteristics.

In fact, a healthy job is likely to be one where the pressures on employees are appropriate in relation to their abilities and resources, to the amount of control they have over their work, and to the support they received from people who matter to them. As health is not merely the absence of disease or infirmity but a positive state of complete physical, mental, and social well being(WHO , 1986) a healthy working environment is one which there is not only an absent of harmful conditions but an abundance of health promoting ones.

However, often times stress is in the state of the mind but as tips to everyone who is prone to stress take the letter S. 1. Simplicity- simplifies your life by getting rid of material things. Be contented of what you have. Learn to give others the extras for it does not

belong to you because you are not using it. Look at your closets and don’t think twice but decide at once. Believe that those who can receive are truly happy of what you have been doing and will make you happy too.

2. Sincerity- be honest, be true not only to yourself as well as to others because you need not to remember what you have said. It can be manifested by your actions and even in the eyes.

3. Silence- in quiet moments many things have been done and it is one way of connecting our Creator and acknowledges that we are His master piece. It is time for reflection, retrospection, and speak to Him with ardent desires.

4. Smile-it releases tensions; it captures others emotions and you can be a blessing to everyone.

Indeed it is an inexpensive friendship.

In the book STRESS FREE Life by Helping Hands and Hearts Inc. and Gary A. Yupangco Foundation, Inc. it stresses the word STRESS as S – Smile. Keep on smiling.

T – Tolerance. Grow in Tolerance.

R – Relax. Never become tense.

E – Easy. Take it easy but be not lazy.

S - Service. Keep serving.

S – Silence. Practice silence and thereby turn to God. 5. Sing – it is the expression of one’s heart and mind. Releases ill feelings and has a soothing effect.

Those who are under stress do one or take all of these and 100 % you will be free from the deadly but subtle illness. Try and sure one can attest that this is effective.

‘Trucks for Life’ showcased in the Isuzu Truck Fest - Davao

The latest edition in Isuzu Philippines Corporation’s (IPC) series of truck model displays has again bolstered the company’s longstanding affinity with one of the country’s most significant regions — Region XI. IPC, which had enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship with Davao’s residents and business community for decades, recently mounted the Isuzu Truck Fest – Davao. The event not only recognized the thriving commercial activity of the region but also highlighted Davao City’s present role in national life.

Held at SM Lanang Premier on J.P. Laurel Avenue in Brgy. San Antonio Agdao, Davao City, Isuzu Truck Fest – Davao showcased to the local community the “Trucks for Life” models of IPC. The trucks, presented in a diverse range of applications and sizes, have been designed to meet the requirements of an equally varied profile of commercial vehicle users. The products also capably demonstrated Isuzu’s heritage in and core competency at truck manufacturing.

“The Davao region, and Davao City in particular, has always been one of the most vibrant markets for Isuzu products. Without doubt, this comes as a result of the area’s wellinformed consumers, progressive business sector, and dynamic governance. The Isuzu Truck Fest – Davao sought to show Dabawenyos the latest Isuzu commercial models that address their requirements and which are relevant to the further growth of their business ventures,” said IPC President Hajime Koso.

Displayed at the event venue were 13 Isuzu truck models that have been configured for specific applications. IPC’s heavy-duty brigade was represented by the EXR and EXZ, which were shown as tractor heads so that customers may spec the trucks according to their requirements.

For medium-duty use, IPC offered the FSR with a dropside body, and FVM that has been configured as a 10-door aluminum van.

Isuzu’s N-Series, which led its segment for 16 consecutive years, was showcased as the NQR71, NKR71 and NHR in dropside bodies and as riveted aluminum vans.

At Isuzu Truck Fest – Davao, IPC also offered visitors P10,000 worth of parts coupons and GoPro Hero 4 cameras. Show goers who registered for the event, and who purchase Isuzu trucks between August 4 and September 30, 2016 were eligible to receive the special promo freebies execlusive only for Isuzu Davao.

Coinciding with the Isuzu Truck Fest – Davao display was a ceremony marking the turnover of Isuzu trucks to some of the company’s most valued fleet customers. Three of the Davao’s largest and

most prestigious companies, which have relied on and have considered Isuzu vehicles as their business partners for numerous years, received their new vehicles during the event.

Global banana producer and supplier Tagum Agricultural Development Co. Inc., through its Assistant Vice President for Purchasing Richard R. Go, bought 12 new Isuzu trucks. Eden Mountain Resort Inc., a renowned name in the hospitality industry, through Purchasing Manager Paul Santos, acquired nine new truck units. New truck units were also turned-over to one of Davao’s leading livestock and landscape operator,
