NAGMAC magnifies glimpses of literature’s future in CdeO By Angelo Lorenzo
“Sa giyera sa amo’ng baryo, lubog ako’ng paglaom (In the war in my town, my hope has sunk),” recited Marie Claire Balase when she performed one of the poems she wrote about the children affected by the war in Syria. Balase, a Preschool Education major from Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan, was one among the performers during the Poetry Night by the Nagkahiusang Magsusulat sa Cagayan de Oro (NAGMAC) on Saturday evening at the Skyhi Cinema along JR Borja St., CDO. NAGMAC is one of the current active organizations in CDO that focuses on literature. It seeks and gathers writers in the region to hone their craft in their respective genres by conducting workshops and occasional spokenword events such as the

Jabonga town in Agusan del Norte recently presented its P10-million business proposal on General Production and Marketing during the two-day PRDP Investments for Rural Development and Agriculture and Fisheries Productivity Business Plan and Technical Review. “The successful geonet production of the neighboring provinces has inspireD us to duplicate the business for the purpose of creating
