he Misamis Oriental FilipinoChinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (MOFCCCII) was founded on August 26, 1986 by the “Young Turks” of the FilipinoChinese community in Cagayan de Oro at the time, including Steve Gaisano, Albino Limketkai, See Hong, Frank Rolida, Ang Chi Sin, Jose Un, Jimmy Ting, and Johnny Lim, Khu Eng, Annie Sia, Efren Uy. Thirty years later, the members of what has now become Northern Mindanao’s biggest Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce can look back with pride at the transformation of their organization from a social club to a multifaceted chamber that
is moving towards the professionalization of its services to its members and the community. Initially, MOFCCCII strove to foster fellowship among its members who were members of the business community in Misamis Oriental and Cagayan de Oro with social and cultural events such as the Annual Christmas and Valentine Parties, Mid-Autumn Mooncake Festival and promoting home grown talents performing Chinese theatre drama, singing and dancing.
