Alleged big-time drug pusher killed by sniper in Dipolog

DIPOLOG CITY, Zamboanga del Norte – A detainee, tagged as a big time drug pusher, was killed by a sniper at the back of the justice hall in this city, the police reported.

Supt. Lito Andaya, city police chief, identified the victim as RG Guico, 32, a resident of Barangay Barra, this city.

Cops launch manhunt vs. killers NDF orders release of 2 abducted of siblings in North Cotabato police officers as goodwill measure COTABATO CITY -- A man who was on his way to his wedding and his elder brother were gunned down Friday by unidentified men in the town of Pikit, North Cotabato, 45 km. north of here.

Yolanda? Sendong? Ondoy? Pablo? These names sound familiar to us not because they are names of politicians running for a national position. They are not even names of hottest hunks and actors in the Philippine movies and televisions. These are the names that we never wanted to remember or even hear.

The mere mention of these names brings back the trauma, the tears and the fears.

The Philippines being hailed as “the sick man of Asia” may be true as seen in its map image being likened to an old man or a hunchback. Let us prove to the world that the Philippines may be the world’s number one disaster-risk country, but we Filipinos are stronger than the storm!

To perform and being productive is the clamor of today’s trend in education.

Bringing change to the lives of the children, making best in them and letting them strive for greatest are the ultimate aim every teacher have in mind. Teaching them that will impact beyond the classroom and their future.

To deal with the status quo and to the future, classroom scenario seem to be like a battle field, teachers trying to be victors in the mind and heart of the children letting them fully grasp the lesson and pupils struggling to learn the lesson. Great efforts and plans were being made to win the battle.

Constant care and attention are needed to be influential to the lives of the children. A teacher tries to assess pupils with their performances and behaviors and planning

things for great outcome.

Similarly, on a gardener trying to make plans and apply fertilizers to make the seedlings grow into a better or best crop. They are able to see the potential in those struggling young seedlings and enjoy them watching grow, develop and bloom.

Teachers as gardeners planning out things with allotted time and anticipated result with anticipation if learning would take place, with motivation and determination to do the best with what they have. Despite of the shortcomings like unable to read, write and comprehend, they can still bloom on where they are planted for teachers tries to be the best gardener that they can be, they struggles to cope with the adversities and help their seedlings develop and thrive, where they get real

satisfaction from doing so.

Further, journey in school is like a puzzle played by the teacher trying to put pieces together making a complete and beautiful image in putting one’s life for good. There might be missing piece or pieces as one goes along that hinders in forming the desired image One’s full heart, time, patience, enduring commitments and passion played a great role in forming the ideal image a teacher could best offer that could dynamically impact the world.

To teach is to touch a life forever where teachers maneuver the pupils into the driver’s seat and then the get out of the way. Teachers don’t only making positive impact in their education but helping them to become a good crop where they can be useful to others and become better people.

The new center will strengthen the province’s capacity in project development and in managing resource generation initiatives.

“The center will serve as Davao Oriental’s link in tapping readily-available resources from external funding agencies, particularly international funding institutions such as the JICA, KOICA, USAID and AUSAID,” said Freddie C. Baby girl ‘Haven’ was born approximately four hours after the departure of flight 5J015 from the Dubai International Airport last Sunday, August 14, 2016. CEB cabin crew, along with two registered nurses who were also passengers on the flight, assisted with the delivery.

The flight diverted to Hyderabad, India, to ensure the mother and baby received medical assistance. Both mother and baby, who was born premature at 32 weeks, are being assisted by CEB’s Customer Care team.
