CAGAYAN de Oro City- Communist rebels has lauded anew the Duterte administration for the release of their top Mindanao leader citing its sincerity to revive peaceful negotiations that will end the decades long armed revolution against the Philippine government. ‘Ka Paris’ flies to Manila to join NDF peace panel By CRIS DIAZ, Executive Editor

MISAMIS Oriental--One of the consultants of the National Democratic Front (NDF) from Misamis Oriental who was released Wednesday flew to Manila Thursday noon. The Cagayan De Oro-based Philippine Ecumenical Peace Platform (PEPP), said that Alfredo Mapano, a.k.a. “Paris,” 62, was escorted by Fr. Christopher Ablon, the PEPP Coordinator for Mindanao. Mapano was released from the Misamis Oriental provincial jail facilities

‘Tabloid for the masses’ launched

DAVAO City--A national tabloid dubbed as “Gikan sa Masa, Para sa Masa” was formally launched Thursdayat the Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) in time with the commemoration of the 50th day into office of the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte. Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Martin Andanar led the launching of the tabloid that carried its first headline: “Duterte Wagi sa Giyera Kontra Droga.” “This will be a bi-monthly tabloid,” Andanar said, adding that it will be published by the PCO and aimed to reach the far-flung villages in the country.
