3,000 cops, military men secure Kadayawan festival DAVAO CITY -- Around 3,000 security forces are deployed on the streets to ensure a peaceful and orderly celebration of the 31st Kadayawan sa Dabaw festival.

30 JO workers of SoCot gov’t dismissed for drug use GENERAL SANTOS CITY -- At least 30 job order or contractual employees of the provincial government of South Cotabato have been dismissed from service after being found positive of using illegal drugs. AFP realignment to stop More marijuana plants cross-border kidnapping seized in S. Cotabato ZAMBOANGA CITY -– The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is realigning some of its forces to stop cross-border kidnapping perpetrated by the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).

KORONADAL CITY -- For the second time in less than a week, police operatives here uprooted more than 300 marijuana plants in an abandoned plantation in the village of Danlag Monday, police said Tuesday.

Senior Inspector Harold Cornel, Tampakan town police chief, said the fully grown marijuana plants (also called as marijuana hills) were found in Sitio (sub-village) Datal Biao, situated in the hinterlands
