CAGAYAN de Oro City-The Cagayan de Oro College-Phinma Education Network (COC-Phinma) awarded five full scholarships [four or five-year bachelors degree] to the champions of the 3rd Mindanao Journalism Excellence Awards presented by Mindanao Daily and the PHINMA-COC College of Arts and Sciences-AB Communication held at the COC-Phinma Auditorium

on March 30. Mr. Karim Bangcola, vice president and COO of COC-Phinma, signed the full scholarship grants of the grand winners in contest for high school categories in News writing, Feature writing, Photo journalism, Sports writing, and Science reporting. Eight campus journalists from Bukidnon (4 from Central Mindanao University, Musuan Bukidnon; 3

from Bukidnon National High School, Malaybalay City, and one from Bukidnon National School for Home Industries, Maramag, Bukidnon) capped the most number of top three awards. Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar and Department of Energy (DOE) Undersecretary Benito Ranque handed the awards to the finalists and winners. They

were assisted Mr. Dante Sudaria, president and CEO of Businessweek Mindanao and Mindanao Daily.
