CAGAYAN de Oro City--In a new twist less than three weeks before the May 9 polls, Senator Grace Poe gained a foothold in Northern Mindanao that has been fiercely claimed by her rivals--Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and former Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas--as their own bailiwicks. Poe, an independent presidential candidate, barnstormed this city and Misamis Oriental towns on April 20 after gaining the support of three district congressmen and a gubernatorial candidate in Misamis Oriental. Poe got the firm support of incumbent Reps. Rogelio Neil Pepito Roque (Bukidnon, 4th District), Rolando Uy (Cagayan De Oro City, 1st District), Juliette Uy (Misamis Oriental, 2nd District) and her husband, Presidential aspirant Grace Poe and her senatorial candidates Edu Manzano, Samuel Pagdilao and Isko Moreno get endorsed by Region 10 congressmen Rolando Uy (1st district, Cagayan de Oro), Rogelio Pepito Neil Roque (4th incumbent district, Bukidnon) and Juliette Uy (2nd district, Misamis Oriental), and Misamis Oriental gubernatorial candidate See foothold, page A11
