During the Sohokai 2020 annual meeting, Soka’s undergraduate alumni association committed to raise $500,000 by May 2021 in celebration of the first two decades of SUA as Young Founders and demonstrate commitment to fostering an enduring connection to SUA and its mission. The proceeds will sponsor important anniversary projects including campus enhancements symbolizing recommitment to the Founding Principles and fund programming hosted by the Center for Race, Ethnicity, and Human Rights.
As of June 16, 2021, the group has gifted more than $660,000 to their alma mater. A special thank you to the Fundraising Committee and to all alumni who participated.
It is not too late to join your classmates. The Sohokai fundraising campaign will continue through December 31, 2021.
