However, I firmly believe that great content will always matter. Regardless of how the magazine industry may change, the unchanging desire of our readers to stay culturally informed and fashionably styled keeps us moving forward. As we approach the peak of hurricane season, we advise not to be overly concerned with tropical formations 1,000 miles away—they may never reach us. However, it’s always wise to stay alert and stock up on essential supplies before any threatening weather comes too close for comfort.
We extend our best wishes for safety during the remainder of hurricane season, a great Labor Day holiday, and the upcoming Rosh HaShanah 5785 to all our Jewish friends.
I hope that this issue inspires you, takes you to places you haven’t been before, and makes you feel good. Please email me with your thoughts—I’d love to hear from you! (info@styletome.com).
And one more thing… don’t forget to register to vote! November is approaching, and with it, election season.
Thirteen years and still going strong. Thank you for your loyalty.

PARIS OLYMPICS
+ EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEWS with Mark Tatum & Jason
By Josie NeJame
Siegel
The air was electric as I stepped into the Olympic arenas and stadiums in Paris, where history and passion intertwined with the spirit of sport. In every corner, the unity among spectators was palpable, transcending borders and languages. Whether cheering for track and field athletes sprinting towards glory, gymnasts defying gravity with grace, or basketball teams battling with heart and determination, one thing was clear: we were all part of something bigger. The energy, the camaraderie, the shared pride— this was more than just competition; it was a celebration of human potential at its finest.
One of the most touching moments of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games for me was when Simone Biles, with 11 Olympic medals, and Jordan Chiles bowed down to honor Rebeca Andrade, who made history as Brazil's first Olympic gold medalist in gymnastics. In a display of mutual respect and admiration, Biles, and Chiles celebrated Andrade's incredible achievement, as she narrowly edged Biles in the floor exercise with a score of 14.166 to 14.133. Equally unforgettable was witnessing Arshad Nadeem’s historic javelin throw. With an astonishing Olympic record of 92.97 meters, Nadeem not only secured the gold medal but also won Pakistan’s first-ever Olympic medal in athletics. Another breathtaking moment was Cindy McLaughlin-Levrone breaking her own world record in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking in at 50.37 seconds to defend her Olympic title. “I knew this was possible,” McLaughlin-Levrone said, her confidence shining as brightly as the tiara she wore afterward—a birthday gift from her sister-in-law.
Another inspiring moment was watching Noah Lyles, already a three-time Olympic medalist, battle through adversity to claim the bronze in the 200 meters despite being diagnosed with COVID-19. His determination and resilience were a
testament to the incredible strength that defines the spirit of the Olympics. After securing his first Olympic gold in the men’s 100-meter final, Lyles shared a deeply personal message online: "I have asthma, allergies, dyslexia, ADD, anxiety, and depression. But I will tell you that what you have does not define what you can become. Why Not You!" His words resonated far beyond the track, reminding all of us that our struggles do not limit our potential but can fuel our greatest achievements. The U.S. Women’s Basketball Team’s victory also stood out, exemplifying excellence and dominance on the global stage. Their relentless drive and unmatched teamwork led them to secure the gold medal, continuing their legacy as one of the most successful teams in Olympic history. Watching them play was a masterclass in skill, strategy, and unity—an inspiring reminder of what can be achieved when individual talent is seamlessly woven into a cohesive team effort.
These were just a few of the incredible moments I witnessed firsthand, but the 2024 Paris Olympics were filled with countless other thrilling events. From the fierce battles on the Olympics 2024 volleyball courts to the precision and intensity of fencing, the thrilling waves conquered in surfing, and the U.S. Men's
Basketball Team capturing the gold medal, every sport showcased the pinnacle of human athleticism and dedication. The USA's dominance was evident as they secured 40 gold, 44 silver, and 42 bronze medals, totaling 126—the highest medal count of any country. Each event, whether I was there to see it or not, contributed to the unforgettable tapestry of these Games, where athletes from every corner of the globe came together to push the boundaries of what is possible.
I had the opportunity to spend some time with NBA Deputy Commissioner and COO Mark Tatum during the Games. Despite his impressive title and success, Tatum’s excitement matched that of any passionate fan. His enthusiasm reflected the infectious Olympic spirit that touched everyone present, regardless of status or position. This shared excitement only reinforced the sense of unity that made the 2024 Paris Olympics so special. Mark Tatum's reflections offer a unique perspective on the impact of the Games, highlighting the broader implications for the sports community and the NBA. His observations on the Olympic experience reveal how the spirit of the Games influences various aspects of sports and his personal thoughts on Orlando.
HERE’S WHAT MARK TATUM HAD TO SHARE:
What is the USA basketball team’s competitive edge?
The level of basketball talent around the world is at an all-time high, as evidenced by the record 139 current and former NBA and WNBA players on national team rosters in Paris. The caliber of players across Olympic teams – including dozens of All-Stars, six former NBA MVP’s and four former WNBA MVP’s – translated to an incredibly competitive tournament for both the U.S. men’s and women’s teams, which had to hold off France in two thrilling gold medal matches. The entire basketball community should be excited about the opportunity to build on this momentum surrounding the game globally.
How does Team USA on a global stage inspire our basketball community?
As we saw with the Dream Team’s performance at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, showcasing extraordinary talent on a global stage can have a tremendous impact when it comes to inspiring fans and growing the game of basketball internationally. I’m sure there are countless young fans around the world who watched the basketball competition at this year’s Olympics and are eager to play the game and pursue their dreams.
Do you see Orlando as an even greater emerging sports city and how might that relate to the Orlando Magic?
The Orlando area has always been a firstclass destination for all things sports and entertainment. It’s a vibrant market with passionate sports fans and that, of course, applies to the Orlando Magic. Coming off a playoff appearance last season, the city should be excited about the way the team is ascending going into the 2024-25 campaign.
Amid the incredible atmosphere of unity and competition, I had the chance to speak in Paris with Jason Siegel, President and Chief Executive Officer of the greater Orlando Sports Commission, whose insights offered a deeper look into how the Olympics in Paris could shape the future of sports in Central Florida. Our conversation delved into the impact of the Games on local initiatives and the valuable lessons that can be brought back home.
HERE’S WHAT JASON SIEGEL HAD TO SHARE:
In what ways do the Olympics in Paris impact the future of sports events and initiatives in central Florida?
We’ve had a long history of hosting Olympic events and working with stakeholders from across the Olympic Movement in our community. In just the last year alone, we have hosted the US men’s soccer team, fencing, Paralympic swimming and the Marathon trials. As we set our sights on LA28, with the Summer Olympic Games back on US soil with 200+ nations competing and visiting, we hope to host base camps and any qualifying trials and competitions leading up to 2028.
Can you discuss any collaborations or partnerships with organizations from the Olympics that could benefit Orlando’s sports community?
We had great and productive meetings in Paris, and while it’s premature to name names, as many of the conversations that transpired are confidential, we are very excited to watch these relationships grow. Many of the opportunities will be brokered through a very competitive bid process. That said, we are proud to have so many great relationships within the Olympic Movement.
How do your experiences at the Paris Olympics influence your approach to fostering sports culture and events?
The Paris 2024 organizers did a wonderful job with these Games. We are always searching for best practices within the industry, and this experience was topnotch. There were lots of great takeaways, and lessons learned that we look forward to applying to any future events in Orlando.
What insights or inspirations from the Olympics do you hope to bring back to enhance sports programs in Orlando?
There are so many great stories to share, as so many of our partners had tremendous success on their respective playing surfaces. More than anything, this trip was an opportunity to build on great relationships that are already in place and forge new ones.
Can you share your favorite takeaway moment from the 2024 Paris Olympics?
Singing our national anthem on foreign soil at the men’s basketball game following Team USA’s victory and the incredible reception we received at the USA Track & Field Celebration Luncheon, where USATF CEO Max Siegel recognized Orlando for a great job hosting the Marathon Trials.
As the 2024 Paris Olympics ended, the world now turns its eyes to the future with great anticipation for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. With the Games returning to U.S. soil, the excitement is already building, and questions arise about the roles cities like Orlando will play in this global event. Orlando, with its rich history of hosting major sporting events, is poised to be an integral part of the journey to LA28. Whether through training camps, qualifying events, or other key contributions, the city’s involvement will undoubtedly help shape the narrative of the next chapter in Olympic history.

Esterio Segura: Hybrid of a Chrysler
At the Tampa Museum of Art
Esterio Segura’s Hybrid of a Chrysler (2016) is a mixed media installation featuring a 1953 Chrysler Windsor with wings, symbolizing themes of freedom and migration. The piece reflects Segura’s exploration of Cuba’s socio-political landscape, with his art often addressing issues of flight and desire.
Premiering at the Tampa Museum of Art, it has been exhibited globally, including in Venice and Washington DC. Segura, from Santiago, Cuba, combines his background in painting, sculpture, and installation to address themes of exile and nostalgia.
NEWLY RESTORED: WATERMELON REGATTA
At the Tampa Museum of Art Now - March 16, 2025
“True to the Tint” explores the evolution of color photography from early black-andwhite techniques to the development of color imaging. Initially, color was added manually to photographic plates and prints, such as Daguerreotypes and tintypes. Techniques like Opalotypes, involving printing on milk glass and hand-tinting, produced lifelike effects. These early methods laid the groundwork for the rich, vibrant colors seen in later photographic processes.
CENTENNIAL RENOVATION & EXPANSION
TAMPA MUSEUM OF ART UNVEILS MAJOR EXPANSION PLAN
At the Tampa Museum of Art coming between 2024–2025
By the early 20th century, Autochromes became the first successful color process, revolutionizing how color was captured and perceived. Curated by Dr. Stanton Thomas and Jason Wyatt, this exhibition highlights the technological advancements and artistic ambitions in capturing vibrant color, enhancing the emotional depth of photography. The showcase offers a captivating look at the journey from monochrome to vivid color, illustrating how photographers sought to bring a new dimension to their art.
The Tampa Museum of Art Foundation is launching a major renovation and expansion project to enhance its downtown Tampa campus. The planned 51,000 square foot addition will introduce a striking four-story, crystalline structure on the waterfront, expanding exhibition and education spaces. This expansion aims to enrich visitor experiences, support the Museum’s growing programs, and provide more interactive opportunities for both students and adults. The new facilities will help the Museum better accommodate community partnerships and its increasing range of activities and events.

Turning obstacles into opportunities is a skill that can transform one’s life. This perspective shift involves recognizing challenges not as roadblocks, but as catalysts for growth and innovation. By adopting this mindset, individuals can harness the potential within every setback and convert it into a stepping stone toward success.
One of the first steps in transforming obstacles into opportunities is changing how we perceive failure. Failure is often viewed negatively, but it is an invaluable teacher. Each failure provides insights and lessons that can lead to better strategies and solutions. By analyzing what went wrong, individuals can identify areas for improvement and avoid making the same mistakes in the future. This process of reflection and adaptation fosters resilience and a growth mindset, essential traits for seizing opportunities.
Another crucial factor is the ability to innovate in the face of adversity. Obstacles often force us to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions. History is replete with examples of innovations born out of necessity. For instance, the invention of the telephone by Alexander Graham Bell was driven by the need to improve communication for the deaf. Similarly, the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the adoption of remote work and telehealth services, reshaping industries and creating new opportunities.
Networking and collaboration also play a significant role in turning obstacles into opportunities. When faced with a challenge, seeking advice and support from others can provide fresh perspectives and solutions. Building a strong network of mentors, peers, and
industry contacts can open doors to resources and opportunities that might otherwise remain inaccessible. Collaboration fosters a collective problem-solving approach, where diverse ideas and experiences contribute to innovative solutions.
Embracing continuous learning and adaptability is vital in overcoming obstacles. The rapidly changing world demands that individuals and organizations stay abreast of new developments and trends. Lifelong learning and skill development are key to remaining competitive and adaptable. By continuously updating skills and knowledge, individuals can pivot and adapt to new circumstances, turning potential setbacks into opportunities for growth and advancement.
Lastly, maintaining a positive attitude and perseverance is crucial. A positive outlook helps individuals remain motivated and focused, even when faced with significant challenges. Perseverance ensures that setbacks do not derail long-term goals. By staying committed and persistent, individuals can navigate through obstacles and uncover hidden opportunities along the way.
In conclusion, turning obstacles into opportunities requires a combination of resilience, innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, and a positive mindset. By viewing challenges as opportunities for growth and embracing the lessons they offer, individuals can transform their setbacks into launching pads for success. This proactive approach not only enhances personal and professional development but also paves the way for a more fulfilling and accomplished life.

THE RETREAT AT BLUE LAGOON
An Otherworldly Escape: Embracing Tranquil Luxury in Iceland
By Josie Nejame
From the moment I arrived at The Retreat at the Blue Lagoon in Iceland, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of serene luxury and natural wonder. The gentle hum of the geothermal waters and the breathtaking surroundings set the stage for an unparalleled experience of relaxation. As I settled into the warm embrace of the lagoon, the world outside seemed to fade away, leaving me immersed in a tranquil sanctuary. The soothing effects of the lagoon’s mineral-rich waters, combined with the stunning backdrop of moss-covered lava fields and misty fog, left me feeling profoundly serene. Each breath was a reminder of the deep connection between nature and well-being, making my time at The Retreat not just a getaway, but a truly transformative experience.
Nestled within a UNESCO Global Geopark, The Retreat at the Blue Lagoon is surrounded by a majestic landscape of mud pools, steam vents, hot springs, and moss-covered lava fields. This unique setting provides a stunning backdrop that seamlessly integrates with the resort’s design philosophy. The architecture of The Retreat embodies a harmonious blend of human ingenuity and nature, with volcanic earth and natural elements guiding the building process. The result is a timeless, sophisticated interior that radiates warmth and connects guests with the surrounding landscape.
Each room at The Retreat is a sanctuary of comfort and elegance, thoughtfully designed to enhance your stay. Upon entering, you're welcomed by a plush robe and spa slippers to change into, setting the tone for a day of relaxation. The rooms are stocked with exclusive Blue Lagoon skincare products, meticulously crafted to complement the serene environment, and ensure a luxurious touch to your stay. Dining at Moss, the Michelin-starred restaurant, is an exceptional culinary journey that highlights Icelandic cuisine that adds to your experience. A particular highlight was the afternoon tea, where I could sit in peaceful reflection, gazing at the private Blue Lagoon waters through the fog.
The spa experience at The Retreat centers around the Blue Lagoon Ritual, a transformative journey utilizing the lagoon’s geothermal seawater, enriched with silica, microalgae, and minerals. This ritual not only provides deep relaxation but also offers significant benefits to the skin and body, with the geothermal water renowned for its therapeutic properties. The Blue Lagoon’s clean products, derived from the lagoon’s unique minerals and algae, reflect a commitment to sustainability and wellness. These products harness the natural benefits of the lagoon’s resources, offering effective skincare solutions while maintaining a focus on environmental responsibility.
The Blue Lagoon’s skincare line is a testament to the natural wonders of its geothermal waters. Making this one of my favorite clean skincare lines. This unique geothermal seawater originates
from 2,000 meters within the earth, where ocean water and freshwater converge in a volcanic frontier. Propelled to the surface by high pressure and extreme temperatures, the water emerges enriched with silica, microalgae, and minerals—elements that give Blue Lagoon's geothermal seawater its radiant, healing properties. The beneficial
powers of this seawater were first discovered in the early 1980s when residents began to bathe in the warm blue waters that had formed in the lava field. Over time, the Blue Lagoon became a sought-after destination, known for its rejuvenating effects and particularly for its effectiveness in treating psoriasis. Scientific studies confirmed the remarkable efficacy of the lagoon’s microalgae and silica in preventing premature skin aging and strengthening the skin barrier. This research led to the development of Blue Lagoon Skincare, a line of products that harness these natural bioactive elements to promote healthy, radiant skin. In 2014, the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office awarded Blue Lagoon a patent for its unique microalgae, followed by a European patent in 2015. A subsequent patent for silica was awarded in 2018. These achievements underscore the scientific innovation behind the Blue Lagoon’s skincare offerings, which are as pure and effective as the geothermal waters themselves.
This year, the northern lights are anticipated to be especially spectacular, thanks to increased solar activity and favorable geomagnetic conditions. The auroras are expected to display vibrant and dynamic colors, with vivid greens, purples, and even reds illuminating the Arctic skies. The combination of the Blue Lagoon’s remote location and minimal light pollution enhances visibility, offering an unobstructed view of this celestial phenomenon. Guests at The Retreat can anticipate truly memorable nights as the northern lights dance across the sky in breathtaking displays. Whether you're soaking in the lagoon’s warm waters or relaxing in the comfort of your room, the northern lights provide a magical backdrop, creating an unforgettable experience that showcases the natural beauty of Iceland. Make sure to plan your stay for this special time of year to fully enjoy this extraordinary display.

September is approaching, which indicates that the fashion season is upon us - yes, my favorite time of the year! The fashion industry is gearing up for a busy month ahead filled with ready-to-wear releases, highly anticipated designer appearances, and exciting new debuts.
The “Big Four” fashion weeks are the most important fashion weeks and are held twice a year in New York, London, Milan, and Paris, which are renowned around the world as the fashion meccas. Every fashionista like me, looks forward to September to see the newest lines from our favorite designers for the upcoming season.
Noticeably, the fashion industry is undergoing a revolutionary transformation, and predictions for the 2025 season provide a window into how innovation, sustainability, and inclusion will interact to influence fashion’s direction. This rapid evolution is being fueled by changing customer preferences, technology breakthroughs, and a rising consciousness of social and environmental issues. A dynamic fusion is reflected in the forecast for 2025, which includes gender-fluid fashion, sustainable practices, and tech-infused apparel, clearing the path for future fashion that is inventive, inclusive, and sustainable.
of comprehensive information about sourcing, manufacturing, and labor methods, which is prioritized in terms of transparency.
Gender-Neutral Fashion: Gender-fluid is becoming more popular, making it harder to distinguish between traditional men’s and women’s styles. Clothing lines that are gender-neutral include inclusive and adaptable designs to suit a wide range of identities. This trend represents a move towards inclusive fashion which lets people express themselves freely without regard to their gender. These collections, which target a wide audience and encourage acceptance and diversity within the fashion industry, frequently place an emphasis on comfort, functionality, and style.
Tech-Infused Apparel: The incorporation of wearable technology is causing a major transformation in the fashion industry, leading to the creation of more fashionable and practical apparel. This trend includes several inventions meant to improve the technological experience for users. When technology and fashion come together, apparel becomes more useful and aesthetically pleasing, while also stimulating innovation that responds to changing consumer demands and tastes.
revival of baggy jeans to make them more comfortable and adaptable for modern wearers. A mainstay of the late 20th century, “crop tops” are making a comeback with creative patterns and materials that provide a modern spin on a timeless style.
Handcrafted Quality: Against the rapid fashion trend, handcrafted textiles and artisanal craftsmanship are becoming more valued. Customers are becoming drawn to one-of-a-kind, distinctive items that tell a tale and promote craftsmanship. A desire for authenticity, and quality over quantity, may be seen in the resurgence of interest in handcrafted apparel. Massproduced goods frequently lack the fine workmanship, age-old methods, and personal touch as seen in artisanal goods.
In terms of fashion forecasting for 2025, we see a changing environment influenced by inclusivity, sustainability, and innovation. Make sure to keep up with the latest trends as the industry evolves, try to integrate the elements I have discussed, such as gender-neutral alternatives, tech-integrated designs, and eco-friendly processes into your own personal style.

Sustainable Fashion: With an emphasis on eco-friendly materials, supply chain transparency, and circular fashion processes, sustainability is taking center stage in the fashion industry. To minimize their impact on the environment, brands are utilizing recycled materials from waste streams, including organic cotton to limit the usage of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, and investigating cutting-edge alternatives like labgrown leather. Consumers can know the environmental and social effects of their purchases thanks to the provision
Nostalgic Wave: Styles from the 1990s and early 2000s are expected to make a comeback in 2025, and who doesn’t miss 90’s fashion? Fashion has always taken its inspiration from previous decades. This nostalgic style will resurrect classic pieces with a modern twist, such as crop-tops, baggy pants, and vintage sportswear. To create pieces that honor the past while appealing to contemporary sensibilities, designers are obliged to combine the essence of previous eras with modern aesthetics. For example, new fits and materials will probably be used in the

CELEBS WHO ADMIT TO BEING LOW-KEY Nerds
By Riesa Pascal
A nerd used to be someone considered overly intellectual, obsessive, introverted, or lacking in social skills. It was a derogatory term that carried with it many preconceived notions of what a “nerdy” individual looked like—shout out to Steve Urkel—and while the stereotypes of nerd culture activities may have persisted, to say that the word has been reclaimed by many as a source of pride would not be an exaggeration. One group helping to make this possible is celebrities. From video game lovers to action figure collectors, we’ve rounded up some of the biggest celebrity nerds below and are sharing the hobbies that make them proud to be considered a geek.
THANKS TO THESE STARS, IT HAS NEVER BEEN COOLER TO BE A GEEK!
VIN DIESEL
Don’t let the rippling muscles and tough guy exterior fool you! Despite his wild success as an action movie star, Vin Diesel is actually a big nerd at heart. This is extremely evident by his deep passion for all things Dungeon & Dragons—often called one of the “nerdiest” fandoms on the planet! Just a few examples of his love for the fantasy tabletop role-playing game are the fact that Diesel once had a Dungeons & Dragons themed birthday cake, he was invited to pen the opening introduction to a published book on the game, and he even has the name of his witch hunting character tattooed on his stomach. Talk about dedication!
ROBIN WILLIAMS
When he wasn’t busy making audiences bust a gut with laughter, the late Robin Williams would spend much of his free time with a hobby significantly different to acting. Believe it or not, the comedic legend was a die-hard player of video games. If you need any proof of his passion for gaming, just take a look at his own family! Williams actually named his daughter, Zelda, after the famous video game character. He spoke candidly and often of his love for gaming, even describing it as an addiction and sharing that his favorite games were those involving military strategy.
MARGOT ROBBIE
Barbie was undoubtedly the biggest movie of the year in 2023 and it certainly helped that Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie embarked on an extensive promotional trail for the film. During one of these appearances in which the topic of fandom love
came up, Robbie revealed that her fandom love is for the Harry Potter franchise. In addition to playing the action role-playing game Hogwarts Legacy, Robbie also plays Harry Potter audiobooks every night to help her fall asleep.
LEONARDO DICAPRIO
Perhaps the pinnacle of nerdom is the collection of action figures and one celebrity who does that very well is Leonardo DiCaprio. The Academy Award-winning actor reportedly has a priceless collection of original Star Wars toys that he acquires in online auctions. To protect his identity and prevent price gouging, DiCaprio uses a pseudonym to bid for the rare items and continue the growth of his beloved collection. The star is rumored to now have an astonishing 80 figurines from the 1970s and 1980s as part of his collection which he understandbly keeps under lock and key.
HENRY CAVILL
With comic books having long been considered a national symbol of nerdom, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that someone who plays one of the most beloved comic book characters in the world is also a huge nerd himself. That’s right, the latest Superman star—aka Henry Cavill— has proudly shown himself to be a total nerd when he’s off the clock from saving the world, even going so far as to build a gaming PC from scratch (and take to social media to update his fans on the progress!)
MILA KUNIS
Yet another devoted gamer is That ‘70s Show actress Mila Kunis and not just any game! We’re talking
about massively multiplayer online role-playing games such as World of Warcraft. Kunis was so into the game in fact that she claims she had to force herself to take an extended break away from the Warcraft fantasy universe. She didn’t manage to quit the habit of gaming cold turkey though! Instead, she switched her attention to less timeconsuming games such as Call of Duty.
ROSARIO DAWSON
As a lover of the Star Wars franchise, I was delighted to learn that Rosario Dawson is a part of the nerd herd! Having starred in both The Mandalorian and Ahsoka, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to expect Dawson to only be ‘Team Star Wars’ when it comes to the greatest nerd culture rivalry on the planet, right? Wrong! In spite of a hefty paycheck from Disney, Dawson is also a devoted and unashamed fan of Star Trek. She has even been known to boast openly of her ability to speak Klingon which takes some people years to master!
JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT
Some would argue that you’re not truly a nerd until you’ve played a round of Magic: The Gathering and if that’s true, then there’s one celebrity on our list who is proudly leading the nerd pack and that is Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Not only is he a religious player of the table-top collectable card game, he even joined Geek & Sundry host Erika Ishii to play the game on her show. Throughout the episode, GordonLevitt gushed about his personal card collection and spoke openly of his long history playing the fantasy game.
Let the Clothes Do the Talking
Prada’s Fall/Winter 2024 Campaign
In an era where fashion often speaks through glossy façades and elaborate productions, Prada’s Fall/Winter 2024 campaign takes a refreshing departure. Titled “Now That We’re Here,” the campaign delves into the essence of fashion as a dialogue, emphasizing genuine human interaction and authenticity. This campaign isn’t just about showcasing garments; it’s about illustrating how clothing can engage in a conversation of its own.
Communication & Connection:
The Heart of Fashion
Prada’s latest campaign revolves around the belief that fashion is more than just apparel; it’s an ongoing exchange of ideas. Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons emphasize the idea of communication and connection—a dynamic interplay of viewpoints that shape their collections. “Now That We’re Here” creates a narrative where fashion engages in a dialogue with its audience. Captured by Willy Vanderperre, the imagery portrays moments of raw interaction among actors like Harris Dickinson, Damson Idris, Yili Ma, Hunter Schafer, and Letitia Wright. These unfiltered exchanges highlight an intimate side of human connection, offering a stark contrast to the highly stylized world of traditional fashion advertising.
Authenticity Is Still In
The campaign’s visual storytelling is refreshingly informal and direct, reflecting a return to authenticity in fashion. The actors’ interactions feel genuine and spontaneous, showcasing how clothing becomes a backdrop to real-life connections. Prada’s focus on unpolished, real
Fashion in Conversation
Prada has also integrated interactive elements like conversation cards by Miranda July and short films directed by Garrett Bradley. These features encourage viewers to engage in dialogues inspired by the campaign’s imagery, extending its impact beyond visual representation. The cards offer thought-provoking topics for discussion, aligning with the campaign’s theme of fostering real-life conversations.
Fashion as a Medium for Connection
Prada’s Fall/Winter 2024 campaign is a testament to the idea that fashion can be a powerful vehicle for communication and connection. By focusing on authentic interactions and incorporating interactive elements, Prada redefines how fashion engages with its audience. This campaign reminds us that the true power of fashion lies in its ability to foster connection, inspire conversation, and reflect the rich tapestry of human experience. In Prada’s world, the clothes truly do the talking.

BUGATTI Tourbillon
CELEBRATING A NEW ERA
Bugatti’s 115-year journey has reached a new milestone with the introduction of the Bugatti Tourbillon, heralding an entirely new era for the brand. This evolution was celebrated with an incredible series of festivities at the Château Saint Jean in Molsheim, culminating in a spectacular World Premiere, ‘La Grande Première’. More than just the debut of nextgeneration performance, the event showcased the future direction of a marque at the vanguard of the automotive world since its inception.
The launch of the Tourbillon marked not only the first car introduced under the collaborative partnership of Bugatti and Rimac but also the first major gathering at Bugatti’s Molsheim headquarters since the 110-year celebrations in 2019. The festivities honored those who have played an integral role in Bugatti’s history – from customers to partners and employees across the brand’s eras – with a week of unparalleled experiences.
The highlight of the week, the highly exclusive ‘La Grande Première’ on June 20, saw a select group of more than 300 guests come together to be among the first to witness the future of Bugatti. Welcomed by the board of management – led by CEO Mate Rimac, President Christophe Piochon, and Managing Director Hendrik Malinowski – attendees were given the opportunity to witness an incredible
lineup of iconic models of the past. Icons like the Type 57SC Atalante, celebrated as one of the most elegant cars in the world, the Type 35, heralded as the most successful racing car ever, and the Type 41 Royale, recognized as one of the most ambitious luxury cars of all time.
During the apéritif, with a glass of Bugatti Carbon Champagne in hand, guests had the opportunity to admire the latest Bugatti Lifestyle creations. These included the luxury Jacob & Co timepieces as well as the latest Baby Bugatti II from The Little Car Company, and the exclusive Asprey egg.
In the Remise Sud, where customers are usually welcomed and guided through the personalization of their cars, a rare Centodieci – paying tribute to the legendary EB110 – was on display alongside the legendary EB110 itself. Jascha Straub, Head of Sur Mesure and Personalization, offered guests a live-sketching experience on a car bonnet.
After a fine dining experience punctuated with elegant music played by a string quartet, anticipation peaked as Bugatti prepared to unveil the first model of a new era: the Tourbillon.
Preceding the unveiling was a recap by Christophe Piochon of the brand’s 115-year history, paying homage to the visionary minds
who made this moment possible – like Ettore Bugatti, the founder in 1909; Romano Artioli, who traveled to Molsheim especially for this occasion and was sitting in the audience; and Ferdinand Piëch, who relaunched the brand 20 years ago – introducing the vision behind the new car, which was explained by CEO Mate Rimac.
With a dramatic flourish, Bugatti’s new hyper sports car emerged through a portal, following a mesmerizing modern dance performance. The Tourbillon made its appearance, driven by Bugatti Pilote Officiel Andy Wallace, and accompanied by Bugatti Rimac CEO Mate Rimac. Following two turns on the turntable, the doors of the Tourbillon swung open. Mate Rimac stepped forward, disclosing the name of Bugatti’s latest icon and delving into its technical prowess under the theme “Form follows performance,” highlighting the unparalleled design.
Succeeding the unveiling, attendees were invited onto the stage to admire the car up close and engage in discussions with the Bugatti team. This spectacle, livestreamed to a global audience, showcased the introduction of a new icon and marked the beginning of a new, incomparable era for Bugatti.
HOW DO I FIND A LAWYER?
Florida has more than 85,000 licensed lawyers practicing in the state. How do you know which one is right for you?
First, make sure the person you are considering hiring is an attorney. You can do this by going to The Florida Bar website at www.floridabar.org. If you have questions, call membership records at The Florida Bar at 850-561-5832. If you believe the person is not an attorney but is claiming to be one, call The Florida Bar Unlicensed Practice of Law Department at 850-561-5840.
Make a careful search for your lawyer; it’s an important decision. Your goal should be to find a lawyer you are comfortable with as a person and as a professional. Many legal matters involve personal considerations, and your lawyer often will need to know confidential information about you, your family and your finances to be truly effective in serving you.
In your preliminary research, you should focus on compiling a list of the names of lawyers who may be qualified to handle your case. Your ‘follow-up’ research will include making phone calls to those lawyers’ offices then visiting one or a few to find the attorney you want to handle your case.
To begin, consider a lawyer’s reputation. Have you heard people speak highly of a particular attorney’s talents or work? Think about your acquaintances who are, or may know, lawyers. Ask those who work with attorneys in their profession, or someone whose opinion you respect — an employer, lawyer at your workplace, banker, teacher, minister, doctor or other professional, relative, neighbor or friend.
The best recommendations often come from people who hired a lawyer to successfully resolve a problem similar to yours.
Another check you can do is to see if the attorney has a discipline history — meaning the person has received a professional discipline for violating the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar. You can find out this information by going to the attorney’s profile page on The Florida Bar website. Once the attorney’s page appears, scroll down until you see the words: ‘10-Year Discipline History.’ If there is no discipline, the word ‘None’ will appear to the right of the name. If there is a history, the word ‘Yes’ will appear, with a link to documents regarding the discipline. You can use that information to ask the attorney about this episode. You also may call 866-352-0707 and follow the prompts to check a lawyer’s discipline history.
A new and growing development in Florida and other states is the prepaid legal services plan. Through a prepaid legal program, an individual or group pays a premium, something like health insurance, to receive such services as free consultations and advice, with prescribed fees for follow-up services. Before hiring an attorney or before you even think you might need one, you should check to see if your employer, union or other organization of which you are a member offers a prepaid legal service plan as a benefit.
Most areas in Florida also have legal aid and public defender offices, which provide legal help without cost or at a nominal fee to people who cannot afford to pay a lawyer. Legal aid offices provide advice in some non-criminal cases such as those relating to small money claims for wages; disputes between borrowers and lenders; landlord-tenant problems; and domestic relations matters. Public defender offices handle criminal cases for indigent people.
A potential client also can use regional, state or national directories of lawyers and law firms, some containing detailed biographical information and client listings. These volumes — some specially produced for consumer education, and others used by lawyers to identify attorneys in other localities — often can be found in public libraries.
Lists of recommended attorneys are also circulated within special interest groups.
Aside from this information, some lawyers are now using consumer advertising on radio, television, newspapers, magazines, in other media and on the web to inform the public of their services and charges for certain routine legal matters.
Comment:
Tampa Style Magazine has received lawyer recommendations from many peers and our readers. The results are presented in the following list and in addition, several professionals have taken the opportunity to present their experiences and profiles to you in the following special feature.

JOHN A. WILLIAMS
Williams, PLLC
The founder of The Law Offices of John A. Williams, PLLC, attorney John A. Williams has 24 years of experience advising clients with respect to a broad range of elder law issues, including Medicaid asset protection planning, guardianships, estate planning, estate and trust administration, and business planning. He started the firm in 2012 because he was compelled to ensure that he was committed to a firm – his own –that put the client’s best interests above the firm’s interests at all times, even when “inconvenient.” In addition to his love for law, he also is passionate about the business management aspects of running his own growing firm of two attorneys, ten paralegals, and two legal assistants, capitalizing on his entrepreneurial skillset and Business Management degree from the University of Florida (graduating first in his class in 1996, summa cum laude), and his J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law in 2000 (graduating cum laude).
Mr. Williams’ Medicaid planning and guardianship practice extends throughout Florida, and his expertise and creative ability to solve complex Medicaid planning problems allow for a great number of success stories for his clients, saving them most if not all their life savings, while simultaneously obtaining Medicaid benefits. So the days of having to spend down all a client’s resources just to obtain Medicaid benefits are over; the misconception that Medicaid assistance
is only for the impoverished or those willing to part with all their money is simply not true.
In addition to handling garden-variety elder law and Medicaid issues and planning tools, Mr. Williams also is the author and originator of a copyrighted, novel approach to Medicaid planning, in addition to being the founder and operator of a Florida pooled special needs trust company, designed to help disabled individuals obtain Medicaid benefits when more traditional asset protection techniques are not sufficient for whatever reason. This enables a much broader group of clients to be able to obtain benefits, with no defined limit on the value of a person’s assets that can remain intact for the benefit of the client while in a long-term care facility
Due to Mr. Williams’ experience and reputation throughout the State of Florida, Mr. Williams has also served as an expert witness in a variety of court cases on questions regarding trusts, estate planning, and probate administration.
Mr. Williams and his wife Stacey have a pretty interesting and unusual (but fun) home life in Odessa, Florida, with their six children (ranging from ages 7-22), together with 1 spider monkey, 1 camel, 1 sloth, 2 miniature horses, 4 dogs, 4 cats, 3 ferrets, 4 mini pigs, and 20 chickens. RACHAEL REESE
Rachael Reese, P.A.
Rachael Reese has been practicing law for ten years, specializing in criminal defense appellate and postconviction matters. Rachael obtained her undergraduate degree from Florida State University in 2011, and shortly thereafter graduated from Stetson University College of Law in May of 2014 with her Juris Doctor, Cum Laude. Rachael was not only one of a select few to participate in the College of Law’s Honors Program, but she was also a member of the Advocacy Program which has consistently been recognized as #1 in the Nation. Upon graduating, Rachael took the Florida Bar exam and passed in September of 2014, and was admitted to practice immediately thereafter.
Since becoming a member of the Florida Bar, Rachael has dedicated her career to advocating for individuals who have become incarcerated in violation of their Constitutional rights. Although Rachael originally had her eyes set on
a career in family law, her goals shifted after she interned at a criminal defense firm in her second year of law school. Rachael witnessed the true injustices that her clients faced daily and the lack of representation available to them after their wrongful convictions. Rachael then spent the next decade with that same firm, fighting tirelessly to right countless wrongs.
In November of 2023, Rachael took a leap to begin her own law firm so she could focus even more of her practice on these specific areas. Rachael has helped dozens of individuals obtain relief by arguing that their constitutional right to effective assistance of counsel has been violated, or by arguing that similar rights were violated during the trial proceedings. Rachael has successfully overturned 15 life sentences, and plans to overturn many more in the future.

According to Paul, “Tampa will always be a ‘big little’ town. Our population increases daily, but the core concept of this community is relationships and reputation. In any given week, I’m just as likely to get a call from an old Carrollwood Elementary school classmate as I am the CEO of a medical facility. They all need help and that’s what I’m here for.”
Paul lives in Tampa with his wife, Circuit Judge Michelle Sisco, and their two kids. John is a sophomore at Northwestern University and Sophia is a senior at the Academy of the Holy Names.
