LOUIE V GETS ARTSY The Fondation Louis Vuitton’s fall exhibits will be devoted to 20th century artists: Egon Schiele and Jean Michel Basquiat.

The Fondation will host two major exhibitions: one is dedicated to Jean-Michel Basquiat, the other one to Egon Schiele. The exhibition covers the painter’s whole career, from 1980 to 1988, focusing on 120 defining works. With the Heads from 1981-1982, gathered for the first time here, and the presentation of several collaborations between Basquiat and Warhol, the exhibition includes works previously unseen in Europe. been alive and well these past years (still is!). The fuller the brow, the better! It has been a huge trend to have “fierce” big brows, which yes, that is better than having just a line as a brow like how it used to be. But having huge hairy brows doesn’t compliment everyone’s face shape or overall look.

It can look messy and give off the vibe that you don’t care about your appearance.

Now, we understand that everyone has their preferences. Some like a thinner brow, and some like a thicker brow, but it’s just how you manicure them that makes all the difference. Now here are some mistakes that are commonly made when filling the brows.

1. Choosing the wrong color

A lot of people often choose a color too dark for their brows. If your brows are already dark, chose one to two shades lighter to help define your shape without them being too overpowering.

2. Misplacing your arch

Our brows have a natural arch. It is important to use your best judgement to not draw on too much of an arch. Accentuating your arch is fine to make it more defined, but avoid over-arching!

3. The wrong brow for your face shape

For brows, it’s not one brow fits all. Depending on your face shape, there will be a brow just for you.

There are many online articles with brow guides that can help you find the right brow shape for your face.

4. Making them look too perfect

Brows aren’t alike; they’re not twins, they’re sisters.

And with that being said, when lining your brows, try to avoid making them look too drawn-on, too perfect. Although they do look nice, they just don’t look natural. When doing this, try to make natural, hair-like strokes using a small brush to brush out the product evenly and to give you the strokes you’re trying to get.

How to know you have halitosis, and how to stop it!

If your friend constantly gives you the famous “your breath stank look” or randomly offers you a piece of gum, then I’m sorry to tell you, my friend, but you might have a serious case of bad breath.

Halitosis is something you probably don’t hear that often, and to be quite honest, when I first heard of it, I was like, what? Halito-what? So don’t worry if you have never heard of it. Now, what exactly is halitosis? Halitosis, well-known as “bad breath” or “stank breath”, is a symptom that causes your breath to have an unpleasant scent, a scent that you just can’t simply fix with mouthwash or a mint. Many people think that having a bad breath is just the result of not having properly brushing your teeth, however, there are many other symptoms that can cause you to have bad breath. Having halitosis can be treated and fixed depending on how serious your situation is.

Now how’s your diet? When thinking about bad breath, you wouldn’t generally associate it to your overall diet, right? What you eat is one of the many reasons your mouth may smell like literal hell. It can create many different problems with your oral hygiene and with your body itself.

Eating foods such as cheese, meat and foods that

are unhealthy can be one one of those reasons.

Some ways you can fix it is by eating fruits and vegetables. This will slowly stop that pungent smell from occurring and will eventually make it easier for you to always have clean-smelling breath.

Another cause is water. We wouldn’t think water to be one of the cause but, it is. Having a dry mouth can cause your breath to smell unpleasant.

Simply drinking water throughout the day can save you from an embarrassing interaction with your friends and will slowly but surely get your breath smelling clean. One of the other main causes is not going to your dentist as often.

Having two cleanings per year can go a long way.

Flossing just sometimes is not enough and can’t get rid of the bacterias that lay deep between your gums. By going to your dentist, they will remove those bacterias that are causing your breath to stink and will make your oral hygiene process easier. The dentist will also check on any other things that may be causing the horrible smell.

Fixing a few of these issues will deteriorate the bad smell from coming back into your life and will definitely stop people making the notorious “stank face” at you.

‘MINI-THEME PARK’ ON I-DRIVE New additions to ICON Orlando 360 Unicorp, the development company behind ICON Orlando 360, has been slowly moving forward with their transformation of the nearly 14-acre block. Unicorp founder and CEO, Chuck Whittall, has announced a slew of new attractions for the ICON Orlando 360 block. Its newest addition, the starflyer, is the world’s tallest drop ride in the parking lot behind the observation wheel. Another sling shot ride will be constructed at the opposite side of the complex and will be as tall or taller than the current world’s tallest, found just up the street at Magical Midway. A powered zip-line and various other previously planned attractions are also in the works. Construction on the additions to ICON Orlando 360 will break ground in 2019, with phased openings beginning in 2020.

Alicia Silverstone In an interview with Oprah, Alicia Silverstone spoke of her vegan lifestyle saying, “I just took a look at my dog and said, ‘If I’m not willing to eat you, how can I continue to eat these other creatures that have the same desire to live, are just as funny, just as cute as my dogs?’” Since becoming fully vegan in 1998 at 21 years old, the Clueless actress has been a prominent vegan activist and even authored two books encouraging a plant-based diet.

Miley Cyrus In 2015, Miley Cyrus was named PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity after revealing she had recently become vegan. A number of factors went into her making the dietary decision with one being the ownership of a pet pig and a “highly intelligent” pet fish. Today she continues to be committed to her meat-free lifestyle even going so far as to say, “I’d eat dirt before an animal.”

Kristen Bell As a child, Kristen Bell had a hard time disassociating the animals she cuddled with from the animals on her plate. She also never really cared for the taste of meat and was a big lover of fruits and vegetables. All this led to Kristin becoming a vegetarian at just 11 years old. In 2012, she went full vegan after watching the documentary “Forks Over Knives” and today she continues to be a animal activist and conscientious eater. Much like the other celebs in this list, Kristen was crowned PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity in 2006 alongside the latesinger Prince.

Sarah Silverman Comedian Sarah Silverman has been having turkey-free Thanksgivings since she was 10 years old which is when she found out what actually happened to her Thanksgiving dinner before it got to her plate! She told the story in an interview with Marie Claire saying, “My dad took me over to a neighboring farm to help get stuff for the meal. The farmer, Vic, told me to look at all the turkeys and pick one out. I saw a cute one with a silly walk and cried, ‘Him!’ Before my pointing finger had even dropped to my side, Vic had grabbed the turkey by the neck and slit [the animal’s] throat. Blood and feathers went flying. I had sentenced that turkey to death! Up until then, I didn’t know where meat came from — and I’ve been a vegetarian ever since.”

Jared Leto Actor and musician Jared Leto is widely known for his looks and youthful appearance which he attributes to “20 solid years of eating vegetarian/ vegan and taking care of myself.” In 2014, Jared was named PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian and today he continues to stay devoted to his longstanding plant-based diet. Shania Twain Country superstar Shania Twain would agree with Jared’s anti-aging secret as she also credits a leafy vegetarian diet for her youthfulness appearance! PERJURY ALWAYS INVOLVES LYING BUT LYING IS NOT ALWAYS PERJURY The recent Senate confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh are but the latest example of claims of perjury and lying that seem to plague our government officials and politicians. While the term perjury and lying are often used together, there are significant differences between the two.

Lying is the simple act of making a false statement knowing it to be false. Through life’s experiences, people often are confronted by those who lie about small things on occasion and those who lie about important things with regularity. While lying may cause a person to be distrusted in a social or business setting, it is not a crime unless the lie violates a state or federal law.

The United States government has numerous laws concerning lying. Two of the most common involve perjury in court proceedings and false statements to government officials.

The perjury statute is found in Title 18 United States Code (U.S.C.) section 1621.

The law requires that the individual swear or affirm that his or her testimony will be the truth. If the person willfully and contrary to that oath testifies to a material matter which the person does not believe to be true, the crime of perjury has occurred which is punishable by up to 5 years in federal prison for each lie.

In order for the crime of perjury to be present, the person must have taken an oath before a competent tribunal, officer, or authorized person. Perjury can also apply to a written declaration or statement made under penalties of perjury in relation to a matter within the purview of Section 1621.

Another perjury law, Title 18 U.S.C. section 1623, applies to false declarations before a court or grand jury of the United States. This statute provides that if a person testifies under oath and knowingly made two or more declarations which are inconsistent to the degree that one of them is necessarily false, the Government can charge the individual with perjury without specifying which of the two statements is false. Both statements must be material to the point in question. This law provides that

if the person appears before the grand jury to whom the two inconsistent statements were made and admits which declaration was false, a perjury prosecution is then barred.

It is not necessary for the government to call any specific number of witnesses or produce documentary evidence in order to sustain a conviction. For any prosecution by the federal government for perjury, the government is not required to produce more than one witness. Cases are often brought where proof beyond a reasonable doubt comes down to whether the jury will believe one witness over another. If the jury believes one witness over another, that may be sufficient to supply proof beyond a reasonable doubt of perjury. Prosecutors usually try to have additional evidence to support a lone witness in a “he said, she said� situation.

Another federal statute which makes it a crime to lie is found in Title 18 U.S.C. section 1001. This is a broad statute which applies to any matter within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the government of the United States. Therefore, lying to or providing false documents to Congress or federal investigators such as FBI agents is a crime. In relation to Congress, this law is principally utilized in investigations conducted by committee or subcommittee of the House or Senate.

This law does not require that a person be placed under oath when talking with an FBI agent or other Federal investigator.

Therefore, any intentionally false statement or document given to a Federal investigator is a violation of the statute.

Providing false information in any federal proceeding or investigation can result in prosecution and incarceration. Lying as a matter of routine to friends, business associates, or the public and making inconsistent statements about the same subject may disclose a character trait of falsehood but is not by itself a crime.

Vincenzo Navarra Executive Chef

Vincenzo Navarra is a Chef with two decades of experience in the food and beverage business. Born in Methuen, Massachusetts. At the age of 8, the family moved to Orlando and opened Ciao Italia Ristorante. There he would spend his time after school and on weekends.

By the age of 10 he started to learn how to cook alongside his father Antonio at Ciao Italia. He spent the next decade learning from his Father the wonderful aromas, flavors and quality of fresh ingredients true to his native land.

Chef Antonio would always bring Vincenzo with him to purchase fresh Seafood at Cocoa beach and produce at local Fresh Markets Every Summer Chef Vincenzo would go to Italy to visit his family and work alongside his cousins at restaurants as a student. Learning new dishes from Chefs in Sicily and his family in Salerno.

Chef Vincenzo Went to Le Cordon Bleu in Orlando, Fl after Graduating High School in 2001.

He Received his Degree from Le Cordon Bleu In 2003 and went to work Under the supervision of close family friend, Executive Chef Kenneth Juran at the Grand

Cypress in Orlando, FL. In 2005, He took over The Kitchen at Ciao Italia as the Executive Chef and letting his father Retire.

In 2014, the family opened Vincenzo Cucina Italiana where Chef Vincenzo had complete control from the beginning.

Designing the kitchen and restaurant in his vision.

Chef Vincenzo is a hands on multitasker. From purchasing seasonal produce from grass fed beef, to training, Scheduling, menu writing, Google & Social Media.

Vincenzo is trying to master it all…

He has a mission to create “The Best Authentic Italian dishes here at home.” His style is, and always will be the true flavor of Italy.

His passion and experience to continuously learn and create has resulted in an impressive career.

Under his direction, Vincenzo Cucina Italiana has been voted Best Italian Restaurant by the Orlando Sentinel for the last 3 out of 4 years that it has been open and voted one of the best restaurants in top 10 USA.

October was a fun-filled, spooktacular month in the city of Orlando! From terrifying haunted houses and hilarious costume contests to renowned film festivals and mesmerizing mermaid encounters, here’s a list of all the highlights just in case you missed it!

Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights is one of the world’s largest, most elaborate Halloween celebrations, and rightfully so! Ever year, Universal enlists a “scream team” of designers to research the human psyche and its deepest fears to create haunted houses and “scare zones” of terrifying magnitudes for guests.

This year, time twists and turns on itself—ripping cinematic greats, cult classics and even original nightmares from decades past into a new era of fear with more terrifying haunted houses than ever, sinister scare zones and outrageous entertainment. Halloween Horror Nights continues for select nights until November 3rd so don’t miss out!

Back again in 2018, it’s the happiest haunting on Earth! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is Walt Disney World’s annual Halloween event that proves to be fun for all ages! The festivities ran until October 31st and featured the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, Happy HalloWishes Fireworks, Mickey’s “Boo-To-You” Halloween Parade and much more! Visitors came dressed for the occasion and enjoyed Trick-or-treating throughout the park along, eerie entertainment and photo ops with iconic Disney Characters that go bump in the night.

The world-famous Mermaids of Weeki Wachee Springs State Park have been wowing audiences for more than 70 years with their underwater performances and Sea Life Orlando Aquarium had the pleasure of welcoming the Mermaids to Orlando’s only indoor aquarium every Friday through Sunday from September 28th-October 21st! The mermaids dove into the tanks to mesmerize guests with their unbelievable underwater feats as they performed alongside their fellow underwater creatures. Daily meet-and-greet opportunities were available for children and for those of us with an inner mermaid-loving child!

it returned to The City Beautiful for an entire month of family-friendly Halloween fun. Visitors to SeaWorld between September 29th-October 28th enjoyed a Halloween Dance Party, trick-ortreating around the park, and the opportunity to meet whimsical characters inspired by the sea. Even everyone’s favorite furry friends from Sesame Street were present as The Count, Elmo, Abby and others take the stage in “Sesame Street’s Countdown to Halloween.”

Get ready for a major clash of the BBQ Titans!

The Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards BBQ and Blues Festival took place from October 12th14th and featured five of the nation’s top BBQ Rib Competitors from all around the country.

The chosen few competed against each other in an epic battle for the top spot as the Lakeridge Winery “Rib Champion”. In addition to plenty of delicious BBQ, the event also featured live music on an outdoor stage, solo acts and the always popular Arts & Craft Village with local vendors offering a wide variety of art and hand crafted items. As always guests were also able to enjoy a free winery tour & tasting, plus their favorite Lakeridge wines, cold beer, ice cream, and a variety of other tasty treats available for purchase.

Named as one of the top “25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World” by Moviemaker Magazine, the Orlando Film Festival was proud to return to Cobb Plaza Cinema Café in downtown Orlando from October 18th-25th. The event, run exclusively by working filmmakers, featured an immersive eight day festival on six screens with over 350 films, nightly parties, daily events, panels, workshops, activities, happy hours and an annual prize package valued at over one million dollars! Hundreds of filmmakers from around the world will tell you that the Orlando Film Festival is truly a film festival “for filmmakers by filmmakers.”

On Saturday, October 6th, Wall St. Plaza was transformed into the ultimate German party with their annual BlocktoberFest! The free festival featured German food, German Oompa music, lots of Jägermeister and of course Sam Adams Oktoberfest beer! Guest who got their hands on a Sam Adam’s Beer Stein enjoyed unlimited Octoberfest beer from 7-10pm and then Sam Adams Oktoberfest beer specials all night! When the clock struck midnight, attendees enjoyed the Midnight Jägermeister toast with 100 free

shots at the round bar in front of the stage. Sam Adams even sponsored a Stein Hoisting contest which saw competitors attempt to hold their stein straight out for the longest for cool prizes such as their very own Sam Adams Oktoberest Ceramic Stein.

The Creative City Project presented their annual event, IMMERSE, from October 19th-20th.

Guests experienced a world where more than 1,000 artists and performers brought the heart of the city to life in downtown Orlando. Attendees of IMMERSE discovered a diversity of artists with amazing talents including interactive shows, art installations and inspiring live performances such as the 100 piece CFCArts Orchestra on 5 stages – surrounding the audience with an immersive orchestral experience. The fusion of performance and technology extended far beyond the stage as attendees found themselves surrounded with inspiration.

Just when you think the show can’t be topped, Spooky Empire brings it bigger and better the next year! From October 26th-28th, the Caribe Royale All-Suite Hotel & Convention Center was packed with horror fans of all ages for Spooky Empire’s Ultimate Horror Weekend.

The beloved event has become one of the largest horror conventions in the nation, with more and more fans attending each year. The horror hootenanny featured one of the largest Zombie Walks, a costume contest, panel discussions, a tattoo festival, films, live performances, over 200 vendors and artists, and plenty of celebrity guests including David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson and others.

Plazaween 2018 was 3 epic nights of of the biggest and best Halloween Block Parties in Downtown Orlando! Goblins and Ghouls across Orlando started their Halloween off early at the PrePlazaween Block Party on Friday, October 26th.

Saturday proved to be was the main event as attendees put on their best costumes and got on stage to compete for free drinks for a year on Wall Street! Plazaween continued on Halloween Night with live music from The Adam’s Family Band, DJ Draven and Korndogg in addition to one more chance for a lucky contestant to win free drinks for a year on Wall Street!
