WALK THIS WAY

From high-end brands to delicious eats, Edward Street Brisbane is Queensland’s most prestigious and exciting retail precinct.

Rumour has it you can fill an entire weekend with culture, history, style, and entertainment in just one city street! Yes, we’re talking about Brisbane’s very own Edward Street. Nestled in the heart of the CBD, Edward Street Brisbane has everything from luxury fashion to beautiful historic buildings. Only have a limited time to take in the sights? Here’s everything you need to know.

A trip through history

Since 1926, Tattersall’s Arcade has been a luxury one-stop shop for discerning shoppers. Designed by Hall and Prentice (the same firm responsible for Brisbane City Hall), the building is now home to a collection of Brisbane’s finest shops from international names like Longchamp to local favourites such as Hunt Leather and Optiko, and leading jewellers Canturi and A.G. Designer Jewellery. It’s also home to the heritage-listed Tattersall’s Club.

Luxe city, baby!

Did you know there are more international names on Edward Street than in the rest of Brisbane? From Hermes and Cartier to Montblanc and Christian Louboutin, if it’s shown on an international runway, you can find it here. Edward Street Brisbane is also home to global minimalist, COS, as well as Dutch giant, Scotch & Soda.

Treat yourself

What shopping trip would be complete without some me time? Origani can have your skin nofilter ready in no time thanks to their impressive range of organic products, while global hairdressing super brand, Toni & Guy, has all your hair and make-up needs sorted.

Men’s mania

When it comes to men’s clothing options, they’re usually few and far between, but not at Edward Street Brisbane. For more than four decades, Mitchell Ogilvie Menswear has been suiting up the men of Brisbane. Selling some of the world’s best brands from Brioni and Brunello Cucinelli to Canali and Ogilvie’s own bespoke brand, it’s a one-stop shop for all your suiting needs. And there’s more. Edward Street Brisbane is also home to M.J. Bale, which has a wide selection of premium suits, tuxedoes, jackets, shirts, and more!

A little frosting

Edward Street is Brisbane’s unofficial diamond and jewellery district with stunning handcrafted creations from both international and local artisans. As well as Tattersall’s Arcade’s leading jewellers, Edward Street Brisbane is also home to The Diamond Jewellery Studio, who are best known for pink diamonds, The Hour Glass, where you’ll find all the luxury watch brands, such as Rolex, Omega Tag Heuer, and Paspaley, who are regarded worldwide as producing some of the most beautiful pearls on Earth.

Dig in

After a full day of shopping, there’s no better way to unwind than hitting up City Winery for a cheeky bevy or Jumbo Thai for a hearty lunch. After something a bit more lowkey? There’s an array of cafes along the strip including Coffee Booth.

Finish on a buzz

Brisbane’s best interactive and immersive entertainment facility, Fox in a Box, is a super fun way to spend a few hours, putting your wits, logic, and teamwork to the test to find clues, crack codes and solve puzzles before time runs out. With six themed experiences to choose from, it’s the perfect way to get out of your head and enjoy some entertaining escapism (pun intended!).
