Rochdale Town Centre is Alive After Five

Rochdale is quickly building a reputation for quality food and drink with its vast selection of welcoming pubs, bars and restaurants.

The ‘Alive After Five’ campaign aims to encourage a vibrant town centre after 5pm by promoting Rochdale’s wide variety of exciting food and drink outlets, all within a short walk of one another. Rochdalians and visitors from further afield have been flocking back into the town to sample the mouthwatering menus and award winning pubs and bars.

There’s something for everyone; Mediterranean dishes at La Mancha, specialist wine and gin at Vicolo del Vino, an exciting and varied food menu, cask beers and delicious cocktails at The Medicine Tap, and well-loved pubs such as The Baum, the Regal Moon and Cask & Feather. And not forgetting The Flying Horse, which has retained its title of Greater Manchester’s Pub of the Year by the Campaign for Real Ale for a second year – putting pub amongst the top 16 in the UK.

Rochdale’s newest bar, the Garden, is also attracting a lot of attention for its unique decor and friendly atmosphere, offering craft beer, ciders, gin and delicious cocktails.

Paul Ambrose, Business Improvement District Manager, commented: “The town centre offer has never been so good. Things are going from strength to strength with the Garden opening recently and BombayBrew set to open this autumn. The Alive After Five campaign has proved a huge success so far and the town centre atmosphere is vibrant, with even more new establishments soon to be announced.”

This November also sees the return of Rochdale Ale Trail, back by popular demand, and featuring over 100 ales and ciders.
