Suggested wording for your Will

Remembering St Wilfrid’s Hospice in your Will is easy to do. To make things simple, we have included some suggested wording below for two types of gifts.

Residuary gift (a percentage of your estate) “I leave x percent of the residue of my real and personal estate to St Wilfrid’s Hospice, a charity registered in England and Wales (RN 281963) of Walton Lane, Chichester PO18 8QB for the general purposes of St Wilfrid’s Hospice and I declare that the receipt of its Treasurer or other proper officer shall be a full and sufficient discharge.” Pecuniary gift (a set amount) “I leave the sum of [in words] x pounds £x [in figures] to St Wilfrid’s Hospice, a charity registered in England and Wales (RN 281963) of Walton Lane, Chichester PO18 8QB for the general purposes of St Wilfrid’s Hospice and I declare that the receipt of its Treasurer or other proper officer shall be a full and sufficient discharge.”

If you want to let us know you’ve left a gift to us, we’d love to hear from you. It helps us plan for the future and means we can thank you for your support. However, there is no need to tell us if you’d prefer not to.

“Our son was having respite care at the Hospice. On his birthday, the staff made him and our family a birthday dinner. That’s the experience you receive at St Wilfrid’s.”
