Please keep the room tidy and presnetable in order for us to contnue to develop these looked after facilities.

Please place all headsets back on their hooks afterwards Shut down PC's when not in use

DO NOT lean chairs back, these are to support and help your positioning

Make sure mouse mats, keyboards and mice are straightened up

All cushions should be re-attached on the chairs before you leave

Take all rubbish with you and use the bin outside teh room NO FOOD permitted

Drinks must be in a contained bottle NO CANS

Logging in

In the shark tank your college log ins will not allow you play our selction of games. Instead you will need to use the log in for the gaming accounts. These are specific accounts designed to enable the games and their multiplayer aspects online in a safe enviroment. to log in, you will need to use this combination;

Remember to use the back \ key found on the LEFT hand side usually. if one of the odler keyboards are being sued, you will need to CTRL + ALT + | \ together to input it.

Games

Here in the “Shark Tank” you will find that our games are limited to a max of 16+. We do not allow any games over the age of 18 to be played on site. We compete in the British Esports Association and try to support students by allowing them to play the games affiliated with the grass roots Esports organisation. Playing these games on a gaming PC is different than a games console. Instead of playing the game using the same software, we instead have to use different game launchers Each game listed, will have the launcher details next to it, please look out for that launcher on the desktops in order to access the games

Players take the role of either a Crewmate or Imposter in one of three sci-fi settings: a spaceship, sky base or planetary outpost.

Up to 10 players can join a game. They are assigned to one of the roles at random, without anyone else knowing. The objective for the Crewmates is to complete specific tasks and unmask the Imposters, of which there can be up to three per game Imposters need to sabotage or kill the Crewmates, without being spotted The tasks are easy to complete and mostly just involve pressing a few buttons – it’s a world away from the complexity of the average role playing game When someone suspects another player of being an Imposter, or discovers a dead body, they can call a meeting where all of the players (except for any who have been killed) can discuss who they think did the deed After a few seconds of debate, players vote – and if one player gets more votes than the others, they are ejected into space or hurled into a pool of lava. The game then continues until one side wins – but most bouts last no more than five minutes in total.

Valorant is a 5v5 tactical, character-based shooter that's took the PC gaming arena by storm.

The competitive shooter gained some serious traction thanks to exposure on Twitch in beta form before launch but has since gone on to be one of the most popular shooters around Your team is either set to attack or defend, with the attackers planting a "spike" (essentially a bomb) that the other team need to then defuse or, preferably, prevent you from planting in the first place.

The attacking team can win by either eliminating the defenders or by planting the spike then protecting it from being defused until the timer runs out The defenders similarly can win by destroying the attackers before they get a chance to plant their spike or defusing the spike after it has been planted.

As well as bomb planting and small teams, Valorant also has a similar weapon purchasing system and gun mechanics too Some guns won't allow you to aim down the sight, which is a familiar feeling The game also involves a lot of stalking and skulking in corners and choke points
