The Center for Christian Study seeks to promote Christian formation Through the communication of biblical truth For the good of the University community With hospitality and care In unity with other Grounds ministries

Located just a block from UVA’s Rotunda, the Study Center provides opportunities to explore the truths of the Christian faith in light of the questions raised by our secular age. We welcome students into our home on Chancellor Street, offering hospitality, community, and the love of Christ. We design our programs to meet the needs of not only students but also faculty, community members, parents, and alumni. Many of our educational resources are also available online.

Educational Ministries Education is at the heart of all that we do at the Center for Christian Study. Education, when directed properly, not only provides information, but also formation. Christian education helps us to envision our place in God’s redemptive plan for the world as it forms our character, habits, and desires so that we might live out our calling in every area of life.

E X PA N S I ON UP DATE After years of planning and prayer, we will begin construction on the Making Room building expansion in July. We could not have arrived at this point without the generosity and support of parents, alumni, and other friends. We are so grateful for their investment in the vision of an expanded home for the gospel at UVA. For the first few months of construction, builders will begin excavating in the back while also creating a new expansive front entry patio. The framing for the addition in the back of the building will be next, followed by extensive renovations in the library and main meeting room spaces. Throughout construction, the Study Center will remain open. While parts of the building will be closed throughout the project, there will always be open spaces for study, ministry programming, and community. If you’d like to keep up with our progress, scan the QR code (or visit www.studycenter.net/construction-progress) to view photos and videos from the construction site.
