This is StudioThree Sports
Greetings! I am Thomas Colvin, III, owner and lead photographer at StudioThree Sports, and I understand the world of athletics from both sides of the lens.
My athletic journey started at five years old playing T-ball, where I fell in love with sports. I competed in football, basketball, and track throughout my youth and all the way through graduation from Dothan High School. Those years taught me what it means to push limits, chase excellence, and capture that split second when everything comes together perfectly.
After hanging up my cleats, I channeled that same competitive drive into my art. I earned my B.S. in Commercial Art with a minor in Visual Art from Alabama A&M University, where I learned to see the world through a creative lens. As an artist, I’ve showcased my work at art shows and festivals along the east coast and throughout the southeast, always pushing to create something that stops people in their tracks.
That’s exactly what I bring to StudioThree Sports – the heart of an athlete combined with the eye of an artist. I know what it feels like to be under those Friday night lights, to feel the weight of the uniform, and to have that moment when everything clicks. Now, I capture those same powerful moments for today’s athletes, cheerleaders, band members, and performers.
Every photo I create tells a story of dedication, passion, and that unmistakable spirit that drives competitors to be their best. Because I’ve been where they are, I know how to bring out not just their athletic ability, but their personality and fire.
