DESIGN CONCEPTS Interior design is much more than simply following the latest design trends. There are several key interior design concepts that play vital roles in the design process of any space. We have created concepts for each space in your home based on your chapter 's vision. From space plans to color palettes, your design booklet will help you to visualize the final look.
PLANNING Think of interior design concepts as elements that work together to create a cohesive and beautiful room. As your interior designer, I will use these concepts throughout the design process to develop your vision and bring it to life.
TIMELINE Once we receive feedback from the chapter, we will work closely with your members and advisors through the remaining phases of the design process to transform your chapter house over winter break.

COLORS OF LOVE & LOYALTY Following the rich blues and soft pink hues of the Gamma Phi Beta brand, we will create a house full of warmth and personality. Layered tones of blush paired with gold and acrylic accents, will transform the chapter house into a classic, feminine space with a fresh, elevated edge.

FLOOR PLAN FIRST FLOOR LAYOUT This first-floor refresh focuses on thoughtful updates rather than a complete renovation. By replacing key furniture pieces, updating select finishes, and refining the layouts, we can improve comfort, function, and style while making the most of what already works. The result is a fresh, cohesive look that feels elevated, welcoming, and built for everyday use.

FLOOR PLAN DINING ROOM This open dining space is getting a fresh new look with a layout designed to work better for everyday meals, chapter events, and larger groups. The updated furniture plan improves traffic flow and makes it easier for members to gather, study, and socialize. New counter stools and chic café tables with soft pink bases and lightweight tops (for easy moving) bring in a fresh, polished feel while giving the space the charm of a boutique café. The result is a room that's more functional, more inviting, and much more fun to use every day.

DINING AREA We're keeping the existing booths and dining chairs while updating the tables to give the space a fresh new look. Replacing the tables with soft blush finishes introduces the Gamma Phi color palette in a subtle, sophisticated way. The result is a dining space that feels custom, elevated, and unlike any other chapter house, with a chic café-inspired atmosphere that still works beautifully for everyday use.
This image is AI-generated to help illustrate the overall look and feel of the space. It’s intended to capture the design direction and mood, not serve as a literal representation of the final installation. Details, scale, and specific elements may shift as selections are finalized and the project comes to life.
the
FLOOR PLAN DINING AREA/COUNTER STOOLS We've included three counter stool profile options, each shown in three different combinations to help visualize the overall look and feel of the space. These are simply starting points. The frame finish, upholstery, and colors can all be customized to better match the chapter's style and the final design direction. Our goal is to find the right balance of comfort, durability, and personality while creating a cohesive look throughout the dining area.

FLOOR PLAN SIDE NOOK / EXTRA SEATING Based on our discussion, we’ve added an additional banquette with two tables and chairs in the unused nook near the meeting room. This creates a quieter space for members to study, meet, or gather in smaller groups. The tables and chairs can also be pulled into the main dining area when additional seating is needed for larger groups.

FLOOR PLAN CHAPTER ROOM Replacing the two smaller rugs with one oversized rug instantly creates a more cohesive look and makes the lounge feel larger. Updated lounge chairs, a larger chaise, and a refined furniture layout balance the existing sofas while creating functional seating from every angle.

FLOOR PLAN ADD ON LOUNGE AREA This concept builds on the pieces that are already working well by reusing the existing lounge chairs and ottoman while introducing a smaller-scale sofa that better fits the room and improves circulation. To tie both lounge spaces together, we'll replace the existing rugs with one continuous rug in each lounge area. The larger scale instantly makes the rooms feel more finished, more cohesive, and much more inviting.
