inspiration is everywhere, in the streets and on the walls, in the clouds and in the ocean. in my travels to different cities, and my walks through the familiar and unfamiliar | This summer i have been painting out of a new studio - new for me - an old, run-down 1920s warehouse, its high ceiling with cracked skylights and a concrete floor with a wonderful patina providing a wealth of new inspiration as i stand in front of my canvases. | i approach each layer in my paintings as if it were the final one. most of them will be covered up, but for me, they are there, as important, as each layer that goes on top of them. combined, the layers create depth and add history to the work i strive for. | i hope you enjoy seeing them as much as i enjoy making them.
