Our Mission: The School of Aeronautics equips, mentors, and sends Champions for Christ into the aerospace community!

During the past 20 years, our degree programs have grown to become one of North America’s largest faith-based collegiate aviation programs.

Through transformational education and training experiences, we seek to prepare our students daily as they journey to the place God wants them to be. Only through the support of others can we continue this integration of biblical worldview with aviation excellence.

Mission Aviation - LU Send Travel Scholarships

Thousands of people groups on Earth remain unreached, devoid of anyone sharing the Gospel with them. For many of these groups, access is limited to aircraft. Mission aviation bridges this gap, allowing us to extend hope, compassion, and faith to those in need. With programs integrated with a biblical worldview, Liberty University School of Aeronautics (LUSOA) is ideally set up to develop mission aviators.

Your support would enable young aviators to be hands and feet of Jesus all around the world and get involved in mission aviation as students through an LU Send trip. Previous trips include Kenya, Papua New Guinea, and Alaska.

Requested support: $5,000 per student.

Many young men and women want to be trained to become Champions for Christ through aeronautics but face financial barriers to education and opportunities. To gain comprehensive training that equips them with the skills needed to excel in the aviation industry, our students must also afford maintenance fees, fuel costs, one-on-one instructor time, and more, all in addition to the standard education costs. Your generosity can provide scholarships, opening doors for aspiring aviators to advance the Great Commission. With your support, dreams take flight.

Named Scholarship: You can create a legacy for yourself or a loved one while impacting the lives of our aviation students.

Minimum contribution to establish a named scholarship: $5,000

Mission Aviation Endowment Scholarship: Your generosity could enable missionaries for generations to come! We dream of an endowment to repay the debt of LUSOA alumni as they serve as missionaries with a mission aviation organization. The remarkable aspect of an endowed scholarship is that it creates a continuous impact for future Champions for Christ into perpetuity.

Minimum contribution to establish an endowment: $50,000

Total Endowment Goal of the Mission Aviation Endowment Scholarship - $5,000,000

Aeronautics Competition Teams

Did you know aeronautic schools have competitions? They not only display the excellence and vigor of our training program on a national stage, but they are so much fun! LUSOA has three incredible teams:

• National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA) Team

• Liberty Belles Air Race Classic Team

• Aviation Maintenance Competition Team - 3x recipient of the United Airlines Competing with Professionalism Award

Would you consider supporting our award-winning competition teams?

Annual cost to maintain these teams: $100,000
