2 HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL

After our review of The Shawshank Redemption, we felt it was time for something a bit more light-hearted. However, we wanted to watch a movie that was highly regarded. That left us with only one option: HSM2, the best movie in the trilogy. (Fight us on this.) Spoilers ahead!

After the first movie, about a high school musical that never actually took place, this movie starts with our favorite East High Students asking themselves ‘What Time Is It’, with the only possible answer being: summertime! After shouting about it indeed being summer at poor Ms. Darbus (icon) and looking at a for some reason massive clock in her classroom, they leave with an unnecessarily complicated song and dance routine. If only they’d spent so much time perfecting their grades, they’d all get scholarships.

Because that is where the plot truly takes off. After realizing that college costs money (shocker), the students want a job. Since Sharpay still has an eye on Troy, she arranges for him to get a job at the ‘Fabulous’ country club she vacations at. However, she didn’t expect Troy to bring the Wildcats. Mr. Fulton, his boss, agrees to this since he apparently needed 20
