Games and Bowling Enjoy the opportunity to play any of the electronic and table games, first come, first serve in ‘85 (1st Floor, Anderson Student Center), Scooters (1st Floor, Anderson Student Center), Bowling (Lower Level, Anderson Student Center). Most games are free to minimal cost with current student ID. For those families and guests who like to bowl, each game is $1.00 per person and shoes are free.

Nicollet Island Pavilion The First Friday Speaker Series brings together hundreds of alumni, students, faculty and staff members, and friends for thoughtful presentations by community members. Join us as we kickoff the 25th anniversary season of the First Friday Speaker Series. Our featured speaker will be Patrick J. McHale, president and chief executive officer of Graco Inc., a world leader in fluid handling systems and components.

Pre-registration is required and the cost is $30 per person.

Mindfulness practice honors these existential needs by directing our attention to the present moment, without being critical of ourselves or being carried away by thought. Whether you are experienced or new to mindfulness practice, please consider joining us in the Wellness Center for a guided meditation session. TOMMIE Talks Inspired by the web phenomenon, TED Talks, which feature "ideas worth spreading,� St. Thomas professors have been invited to give what they deem their most popular lectures.

Dr. Kari Zimmerman History Department ASC 341 Women’s History in the Americas

Join us for this uplifting lecture with Olympic Gold medalwinning gymnast, Shawn Johnson. She is a two-time National Champion and a World AA Champion. At the Beijing Olympics, Johnson won the individual gold medal in the balance beam, and three silver medals in the individual all around, floor exercise and team categories. She also won season eight of Dancing with the Stars and published a book, Winning Balance. Shawn Johnson truly loves big and lives big. Sponsored by the UST University Lectures Committee. Rooftop Tommies Under the Stars Top Floor Anderson Parking Facility Join us for an evening of astronomical discovery! We will kick off the evening with a short presentation on the rooftop of the Anderson Parking Facility. We will have a fleet of backyard telescopes that will allow you to see details on the moon, planets, moons of Jupiter, dying stars and giant star clusters. You will have an opportunity to look through the telescopes, tour the observatory or chat with our faculty and students about all things astronomical.

Season ticket holders are also eligible for the free youth ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or in advance. Ticket prices are $8/adults and $4 for non-UST students.

Summit Avenue Enjoy the annual Twin Cities Marathon, a local athletic event that has several components from 5 and 10K run to the Marathon that runs through a beautiful route taking in both Minneapolis and St. Paul. The Marathon begins at 8 a.m. near the former location of the HHH Metrodome - Mall of America Field in downtown Minneapolis and ends in St. Paul at the Minnesota State Capitol. Your family and friends can enjoy watching the runners on Summit Avenue from E. Mississippi River Boulevard to the St. Paul Cathedral. The best view will be at Summit and Cretin Avenues rom 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The View, Anderson Student Center Serving down-home favorites like Biscuits & Gravy, Flapjacks, Bacon, Western Eggs and more. Family Weekend Brunch meals are purchased on site and the price is $9.62 for adults and $7.53 for children 12 and under tax included (Children 3 and under eat free). Students may use their meal plan and additional meals may be purchased with cash, check, eXpress dollars or credit card. Students on a meal plan may also use their guest passes to purchase additional meals.
