COLUMBIA SYSTEMS AND DIGITAL RESOURCES
STUDENT ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (SAA) SAA provides opportunities for Columbia students to develop their physical, social, organizational, emotional, and competitive skills. The club sports teams, known as the Renegades, play a variety of sports in intercollegiate, social, and club leagues. Furthermore, the Renegades offer students another opportunity to build professional networks and enhance their social support systems. All teams are established and managed by students.

STUDENT CENTER 754 S. Wabash Ave. (312) 369-8000 The Student Center is your hub for collaboration and student activities. Inside the Student Center, you will find a food court, coffee shop, and a variety of multipurpose spaces. The offices of New Student Programs, Student Organizations, Student Government, Student Communications, are in the Student Center, as well as the Career Center. On the fourth floor of the Student Center, you will find a fully-equipped gym facility with locker rooms, showers, and a meditation space. The Fitness Center staff will also provide group fitness classes, and wellness coaching, to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle.
The Student Center hosts a variety of programs and activities related to your career development and extracurricular endeavors. We invite you to visit the Student Center to study, dine, network, and socialize.

STUDENT LOGIN AND EMAIL FOR (almost) EVERYTHING Portal.office.com colum.edu/office365 Your gateway to all Columbia systems, tools and communications is your Columbia email address. This is your master key to accessing all Columbia systems that you will need to interface with as a student. Microsoft Office 365 offers Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, OneNote and Microsoft Teams.
Microsoft Office 365 is the official student email of Columbia College. All official Columbia email communication will be delivered via Office 365. It is important that students check their accounts regularly. Registration information, billing information, financial aid information, an all-student newsletter, and server targeted newsletters are available for students to receive each month. This information can be located in your Office 365 Outlook inbox.
CANVAS canvaslms@colum.edu colum.edu/canvas For 24/7 Canvas Support, refer to the help link on the home page of Canvas Canvas is a learning management system used by Columbia College faculty to manage their courses. Students log in to Canvas with their O365 credentials. If an instructor uses Canvas, students may access syllabi, assignments, readings, resources, forums, wikis, course grades and other materials. Instructors will let their students know if they are using Canvas in a particular class. Students sign-in to Canvas with their Office 365 credentials. ADOBE CREATIVE CLOUD colum.edu/adobe Columbia offers all students an Adobe Creative Cloud. From After-Effects to Illustrator and InDesign, Spark, and Photoshop we have it all + storage.
CANON PRINTING Canon printing is available for Students for at no cost at the following location: • Library building (624 S. Michigan) on the 1st or 3rd floor • Student Center (754 S Wabash Ave) To connect to a Canon printer at the Student Center or Library, visit: https://colum.printercloud.com for the self-service portal. You will find documentation that provides the necessary steps to check, install, and use PrinterLogic on your device on the website noted above.
DIGITAL PRINT CENTER (DPC) colum.edu/dpc The Digital Print Center is Columbia’s on-campus, professional digital-output center, specializing in laser printing and archival, wide-format inkjet and UV printing. We provide printing and finishing services to students, faculty, and staff, as well as inform and instruct on proper file setup, color management, resolution, print longevity, and paper types. Facilities include wide-format Canon printers that can produce archival prints up to 64” wide. We also provide binding, folding, vinyl cutting, bulk paper cutting, business cards, fabric printing, and other services.
Students may submit print jobs to the Digital Print Center by accessing the DPC PRISMAdirect through the Office 365 Applications. If you are having any difficulties, please email DigitalPrintCenter@colum.edu for assistance.
MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION (DUO) colum.edu/duo The college has engaged in a coordinated effort to further strengthen system and network access safeguards. Columbia College is partnering with DUO Security to implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on various software systems as well as on college hardware. Multi-Factor Authentication is an additional layer of security on top of user IDs and passwords, Single Sign-On, or VPN.

MYCOLUMBIA My.Colum.Edu The MyColumbia portal is the online tool that students use to register for courses, pay tuition and fees, check their academic progress, and update their official address and contact information including emergency contact information. Students sign into the MyColumbia portal at my.colum.edu using their MyColumbia ID number and student portal password.

POLICIES colum.edu/itpolicies The purpose of this policy is to establish a standard for the creation of strong passwords, the protection of those passwords, and the frequency of change. This policy reinforces information security by establishing a strong but reasonable password management practice.
QUALTRICS colum.edu/qualtrics Qualtrics is an online survey tool available to all faculty, staff, and students at Columbia. This application includes robust workflow and survey tracking, survey collaboration, balloting and reporting options. Qualtrics is accessible at colum. qualtrics.com or from the Qualtrics icon on the Office 365 “All Apps” page in the lower section. Students sign in to Qualtrics with their Office 365 credentials.

For support with Chromebooks, Zoom, VDI, and other academic applications and hardware issues please submit a ticket through Team Dynamix.
WI-FI ACCESS colum.edu/wireless (312) 369-7001 Columbia Student is the wireless network dedicated to students. Students will access Columbia Student wi-fi with the same credentials to access Office 365.
Once you select the “Columbia Student” network from your list of available wireless networks, a browser window will pop up asking you to log in to the network with your Office 365 credentials. If a window does not automatically pop up, open a web browser and attempt to access the wi-fi login portal, and you will be redirected to the login page. If you have any issues, please contact Client Services at (312) 369-7001.
