Friday 2 May, 7.30pm

FOUNDERS’

DAY CONCERT

The climax of the musical year, this concert will feature a selection of St Swithun’s musical ensembles, including Concert Band, Chamber Choir and pianist Leqi S. Leqi was the winner of this year’s school music competition, and will perform the first movement of Grieg’s Piano Concerto with the Symphony Orchestra.

Members of the school community, parents and school guests are invited to this event.

Admission free.

This concert will be recorded and available to stream the following week.

FAME

ACADEMY FINALS

Completed songs and videos will be presented in assembly to celebrate the culmination of the Year 6 Fame Academy Project and all attendees can vote for the winners.

Year 6 parents are invited to attend.

MUSIC FESTIVAL

This event sees performances from our talented musicians across two days. There is the opportunity for all children to perform in the open sessions (arranged by year-groups), the formal adjudicated sessions, our Rock Divas session and our lower prep and upper prep singing competitions.

Prep parents of girls participating are invited to attend. Please see school post for timings closer to the date.

MUSIC SCHOLARS AND EXHIBITIONERS’ CONCERT

Termly concert given by a selection of our music scholars and exhibitioners. A chance to hear our finest musicians performing as soloists.

OGA CREATIVE NETWORKING EVENT

Join us for an inspiring evening of creativity at the Cristea Roberts Gallery. This exclusive Old Girls’ networking event is perfect for alumnae working in — or aspiring to join — the creative industries. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with a selection of drinks and canapés as you network and engage with fellow creatives in one of London’s most celebrated contemporary art spaces.

CARNIVAL OF CURIOSITIES

Welcome to our summer term’s electrifying dramatic performance. Step right up and enter the Carnival of Curiosities – a whirlwind of laughter, mystery and immersive spectacles. Part interactive theatre, part surreal sideshow, this oneof-a-kind experience blends comedy, short foreign-language film, captivating installations and unexpected encounters. Step into a world where the audience shapes the story, laughter is inevitable and curiosity is the only ticket you need.

This is a recital featuring some of the most outstanding performances from across our music festival. It gives our more proficient young musicians a chance to perform to a different audience and to practise formal performance skills.

Join us for a St Swithun’s Father’s Day celebration special. Enjoy an exciting dog show, stock up your garden from our fantastic plant sale and soak up the sunshine in a beautiful garden setting. Your ticket includes a hot drink and a slice of delicious homemade cake, plus the chance to enjoy family activities. Bring the whole family (and your four-legged friends) for a fun-filled day.

YEAR 6 PRODUCTION: SE7EN GHOSTS

A musical adaptation of the children’s book Seven Ghosts by Chris Priestly. The children will be using their problem solving and creating skills to create ghostly or spooky digital material and effects to enhance the show. It is a little different to our usual Musical Theatre fare, and the challenge is on to scare our audience!

Year 6 Prep parents and members of the school community are invited to attend.

SUMMER CONCERT

A concert featuring solos and ensemble performances including Concert Orchestra, Phoenix Choir and finalists from the school music competition.

Members of the school community and parents are invited to this event.

WIND IN THE WILLOWS OUTDOOR THEATRE

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting an open-air theatre event this summer. Multiple award-winning Illyria celebrates Kenneth Grahame’s timeless tale of friendship, laughter, the longing for home and the lure of adventure. Bring your picnic, and enjoy this fantastic tale where the story is set in the great British outdoors.

Running time (approx): 1hr 40 minute (including a 20-minute interval)

Suitable for ages 5+ (younger children also welcome).

This is an opportunity for our youngest and our most senior choirs, along with some of our instrumental ensembles, to perform for their parents in an informal and supportive setting.
