BASKET TRAY INTRODUCTION

BASKET TRAY FITTINGS

Basket tray is a wire mesh style cable tray system designed for sensitive cable applications in the data and communications industry. It utilizes high mechanical strength steel wire that is welded into a 2″ x 2″ grid system. This grid system is then formed into channels which support and carry cables. By using Basket Tray’s welded mesh, sensitive cables and fiber optics receive additional support and are safe from any damage due to sharp edges.

HORIZONTAL 90° CONNECTOR KIT (SSP-90-2)

This kit uses our unique 90° splice connectors that maximize cable support while field cutting is minimized by overlapping and clamping into place. Each Kit has 2 back plates, one “L” shaped plate, nuts and bolts.

Materials:

Welded steel wire, mill galvanized; other materials available by request. The 2″ x 2″ grid size provides support for cables every 2″ instead of every 4″ like other mesh trays on the market.

BASKET TRAY BASKET TRAY SPLICES

VERTICAL ADJUSTABLE SPLICE CONNECTOR (SFS-VWB2)

SPLICE CONNECTOR (SSP-WB2) Splice connectors are used to clamp two Basket Tray sections together effortlessly. The inner ridged plate clamps the vertical side wires to the outer L-formed plate leveling and supporting the horizontal wire.

Vertical Adjustable Splices are used when modifying the elevation of the cable tray routing.

HOLD DOWN CLAMP

2 Hold Down Clamps are fastened to sustain Tray from 1/4″ threaded rod. 2 pieces are required per hanger rod.

(WBHDC) Hold Down Clamps allow Basket Tray sections to be securely fastened into place.

For 1/4″ rod: WBHDC

SIDE HANGER CLAMP For trapeze type supports, this clamp attaches threaded rod to the side of the cable tray. For 1/4″ rod: WBVHC

BASKET TRAY SUPPORTS AND CONNECTORS UNDER FLOOR BRACKET

UNDER FLOOR PAN SUPPORT

Superior Tray provides an “L” bracket support for 2″ to 24″ wide Basket Tray that includes a clamp, 3/8″ x 1″ square bolt and 1 WBHDC hold down clamp to attach to bracket.

We provide a 6″ Floor Pan Support that includes a WBHDC hold down clamp to attach the tray to floor pan.

BOX CONNECTOR

DROP OUTS

A Box Connector is used to terminate a Basket Tray run to an enclosure, wall or some other junction to a flat perpendicular surface. Includes all mounting hardware.

Drop Outs are provided for both ends of Basket Tray runs and for exiting the side of Basket Tray. They include mounting hardware.
