ROAD BOOK
Welcome to Network Bike 2019. Here you’ll find all the info you need to attend, so do please read it carefully. Before you get bogged down with start times, etc, I want to tell you a little bit more about Network Bike. As a Regional Sales Manager for a leading gym chain, an element of my role was to network in the corporate world, securing longstanding corporate membership deals. I spent hours in uninspiring venues, breaking down barriers in early morning networking breakfasts and lunches. Over time I assessed the sources of my most lucrative and loyal connections, only to realise most of these were established
while out on club rides, on race start lines, in cycling cafes, in bike shops, and more. Cycling offers a doorway into a conversation, evokes a sense of camaraderie and establishes a bond far beyond business meet-ups. When I left the corporate world to launch Struggle Events I made it one of my aims to help facilitate a new way for my fellow cyclists to ignite and nurture business connections through riding a bike, just like I have done and continue to do. I’m looking forward to connecting with you all at Network Bike. Matt Mannakee
