THE CARROLL FAMILY SCORES THE BOAT OF THEIR DREAMS

While Long Islanders Dennis and Kathy Carroll were vacationing in Lake George nearly thirty years ago, they caught the boating bug as they spent summer days cruising on friends’ boats. Soon it was time to purchase a boat of their own and make memories on the water with their family and friends. They trailered their boat up to Lake George every summer until it was time for Dennis to retire and trade up for his dream boat.

The Carrolls began shopping for their new boat, and Strong’s Marine was their first stop. They met with Sales Consultant Dave Russell, who introduced them to the exceptional Cobalt model line. They continued their research for the next six months, but discovered other brands could not compare to the impeccably-crafted Cobalt.

"I've been boating since 1990. I finally had time to get the boat of my dreams."

The Carrolls purchased their new 2018 Cobalt R7 in the fall of 2017, and soon were on their way to Neodesha, Kansas to learn more about their new boat. At the Cobalt factory, Dennis and Kathy witnessed their own R7 being built and learned about the painstaking process it takes to complete a Cobalt from aft to bow. They were awed at how much time, hard work and dedicated team members it took to build a Cobalt.

When taking delivery of their Cobalt in the spring of 2018, the Carrolls decided to keep their vessel at Strong’s Mattituck Bay location to explore all the Peconic Bay and the East End has to offer. They love boating on the Bay for the ease of access to destinations like Greenport and Sag Harbor and enjoy just anchoring up off a local beach and relaxing. After attending Strong’s Unlock the Shinnecock event, they’ve been navigating the locks to voyage out to the Atlantic. The Carrolls are delighted with their Super Service at Strong’s – from Tami confirming their dockage, to the yard team preparing their Cobalt through valet dockage, to the diligent dockhands awaiting their return, and the service team performing maintenance – there has never been an issue!

Boat delivery day!

The Carrolls still trailer their Cobalt up to Lake George each summer with their seven grandkids who love performing watersports behind the Cobalt. Dennis says watersports are unbelievable with Cobalt’s TruWave technology and the experience surpasses any experience they have had before. The grandkids now caught the boating bug and we’re so excited to get to know the next generation of Cobalt fans!

Thanks, Dennis and Kathy, for sharing your boating lifestyle with us!
