It’s important to set your intention for the year, month, week and even day ahead. By putting pen to paper (or tapping away at your keyboard) you make your goals tangible and start to visualise the outcome you want to achieve. You have a permanent reminder of the direction you’re heading in.
Never underestimate the power of your determination and focus. You just have to find it.
Step-by-step, day-by-day, this guide will help inch closer to creating the career, life and mindset that you desire.

Your goals can be broken down into steps then translated into daily habits. When something becomes a habit it’s like a mini super power that you forget you even have. Each habit inches you closer to the juicy feast of a goal you that you set out at the beginning.

The first habit you need to commit to is filling out this journal.
This goals journal was designed by career coaches and includes carefully crafted questions to help you come up with your big ideas for 2023 (your macro goals) and help you break them down into smaller, bite-sized objectives and actions.
DAILY, WEEKLY, MONTHLY PREP TIME
Start by working through your life review and reflecting on everything from your wealth to your health. Answer the questions without deep thought, just jot down whatever comes into your head.
Once you’ve downloaded your thoughts, turn them into actions for the year in the annual planning section.
The rest, as they say, is simple. There are monthly, weekly and daily journal pages for you to jot down your micro goals and also do some self-reflection.
We recommend spending an extra ten minutes a month in self-reflection to help you see the small changes that are having a big impact.

What goals should you set?
Your goals should not only focus on one area of your life. We encourage you to make the contents of this journal about more than just your career or fitness (or whatever area you have on your mind).
Afterall, when you focus too much on one area you often have to let something else slip, but you should be focused on balance.
Align your goals to your core
Take some time to really think about what’s important to you. What do you value? Not your employer, your friends or your partner; what’s important to you?
We recommend having at least one goal per core value. Some typical values include: authenticity, balance, generosity, growth/learning and recognition. But these might be completely different to yours!
Take a moment - right now - to think about what your core values are before you get going.
And don’t forget the golden rule: make your goals SMART.
