CEDARS Calls on Community to Make the Holidays as Cheerful as Years Past For many kids in CEDARS care, this holiday season will be the fi rst one they spend in a place where they feel truly safe. Although it may be diffi cult for many of us to imagine being away from family during this special time, kids and families turn to CEDARS for safety and stability. While CEDARS works to ensure kids spending the holidays with them receive the safety and stability they deserve, CEDARS is asking the Omaha community to help provide the holiday cheer.

Even in the midst of COVID-19, CEDARS never wavered in their dedication to care for kids who have nowhere else to turn. To combat the challenges of this pandemic, CEDARS has created more ways for the community to get involved this holiday season.

CEDARS has created an online store featuring items that CEDARS kids and families wish for the most, allowing supporters to make donations from the safety of their own home. There is also an option to create an online fundraising team. This is great for teams that are working remotely but still want to come together to make the holidays brighter for kids! Staff can create a personal fundraising page and ask friends, family, and the general public to join them in support. The page is easy to create, has a secure online donation tool already built-in, and CEDARS will provide a detailed tool kit including instructions, sample social media posts, emails, logos, videos, and images.
