Breeze, which has already helped thousands of consumers apply for disability insurance coverage, is on a mission to help the 51 million working Americans without suffi cient income protection in place. Individuals can request a personalized disability insurance quote and complete a secure application process online in 10–15 minutes. Village PieMaker Moves All Operations to Omaha, Closes Eustis Shop Village PieMaker, which was opened by Judith Larsen in 2002 in Eustis, NE, and since acquired by Joe Ricketts, father of Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts, announced on July 22 that the original production center would close and all operations would move to Omaha. The business built a state-of-the-art facility at 13306 Portal Dr. a couple of years ago and, despite efforts to upgrade the Eustis plant to keep up with customer demand, recently made the decision to streamline operations and consolidate production at the Omaha facility. “While my decision to close the Eustis facility was not an easy one, I believe it positions Village PieMaker for long-term success—success that will mean good jobs for more people as more and more households around the country are introduced to our wonderful, Nebraska-made pies,” said Ricketts. Village PieMaker’s delicious “take and bake” frozen fruit pies can be found nationwide in many of your favorite local grocery stores and markets. Customers love the handmade goodness and old-fashioned favorites cherry and strawberry-rhubarb. After all these years, Village PieMaker is still sharing happiness—one slice at a time. Anyone can order pies online or join the Pie of the Month Club for a special pie delivered directly to your door each month of the year. Learn more online at www.villagepiemaker.com.

BBB Offers Tips for Businesses on Latest Scams and Predatory Online Attacks With businesses more exposed than ever to online scams and predatory attacks, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) has found that standard scamprevention measures are no longer effective when in-person communication isn’t an option. With that in mind, the BBB provided a list of types of scams for which business owners and operators should be on the lookout. Those include phishing attacks, HR scams, imposter scams, and identity theft. Below is some information about each of these: • Phishing scams—When employees are physically separated, in-person verifi cations involving fi nancials or wire transfers are no longer possible. Phishing attacks are increasing and exposing millions to additional risks. Make sure that your employees are aware of the risks and provide effective countermeasures. Put policies in place so requests for fi nancial information or transfers are verifi ed fi rst. • HR scams—The latest twist in scamming involves Human-Resource (HR) departments receiving calls or emails from a current employee asking to update their direct deposit or mailing information to receive their paychecks. In reality, the request isn’t genuine, and the employee’s paycheck has just been stolen if you complete the request. • Imposter scams—Scammers are stealing the name of a legitimate business and pretending to be them. These can take dozens of forms, but many involve employment scams, fake check or wire scams, government-imposter scams, and more. • Identity theft—Report all suspected instances of identity theft to the FBI’s IC3 Department (ic3.gov/default.aspx). While many businesse s are hesitant to admit that they have been compromised, investigators cannot pursue the criminals without the necessary information. If you believe that your business has been compromised, report the scam on the Better Business Bureau’s Scam Tracker or call (800) 649-6814.

The Omaha Bakery Adds Ketogenic Meal Prep Service for Omaha and Lincoln With their ketogenic baked goods selling like hotcakes, The Omaha Bakery is taking things up a notch and offering Keto Meal Prep service to people in Omaha and Lincoln. Owner Michelle Kaiser said the imminent launch of 15 different meals is the result of nine months of work by her team to fi nd a way to offer delicious keto foods, made with fresh ingredients, to their customers. They’ve been tantalizing folks with photos of the mouthwatering meals on Facebook, and the feedback indicates that anticipation is high. Michelle teased followers with a photo of their Keto Chicken Prosciutto Cordon Bleu, a traditional Schnitzel made Italian Keto style (pictured) . It comprises a chicken breast fl attened, stuffed with fresh mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, and prosciutto ham, all rolled up and breaded with pork rinds and aged parmesan, fl ash-fried to perfect crispiness, then baked. Michelle’s love affair with the keto lifestyle stems from her change to a keto diet more than a year ago, in an effort to improve her health and reduce her pain. In her fi rst year, she lost 100 pounds and became pain-free. From there, the bakery developed a superpopular line of ketogenic baked goods, which they’ve been shipping to customers all over the country. Michelle is planning to roll out the new meals at keto meal tastings in early August. The meals are being created by The Omaha Bakery’s Chef Maria, who has worked in fi ve-star restaurants and internationally. While they ship their keto baked goods, the bakery won’t be shipping the keto meals immediately but can arrange for pickups in Omaha and Lincoln, and in Des Moines, Iowa. The Omaha Bakery is a full-service bakery and tasting experience for any occasion. For more information, visit theomahabakery.com and their Facebook page (@TheOmahaBakery), or call (402) 991-9200.
