What does a hospice do?

Palliative care

When people have an incurable illness, they may need palliative care from a hospice.

Palliative care includes controlling a patient’s pain and other symptoms

They may need a stay in our In-patient Unit to help get them well enough to return home

End of life care

We care for people who are dying at the end of their life. We make sure they are comfortable, safe and well cared for.

Care can be given at home or at the hospice

Emotional support

When people are unwell, we offer them and their loved ones someone to talk to about their feelings
