St Richard’s Hospice is proud to provide care free of charge.

However, if you have private health insurance you may be able to claim and help us to keep providing care to others.

What do I need to do?

Many people have private health insurance that they have taken out for themselves or that an employer provides.

If you have private health insurance then please let us know by filling in your details on the form and pass it to any of our nursing or medical team.

Did you know that many health insurers are willing to recognise services provided to their members in the form of a donation to St Richard’s?

If you have insurance, please consider completing the form overleaf which we can use to approach your insurer asking for a donation to help in funding future care at the hospice at no cost to you.

Whether you are attending the Living Well Centre, receiving visits from our community nursing team; hospice at home; care as an in-patient or any of our other services, we may be able to request a donation from your insurance provider.

Of course, there is no obligation for you to help us – services will remain free of charge – however, we will be enormously grateful if you could and thank you for the consideration.

How much will St Richard’s receive?

This depends on the type of policy you have and who your insurer is.

Some insurers specifically exclude hospice care. Whatever the result we will let you know the response from your insurance company.

What happens next?

We will contact your insurer and ask for a donation in support of the care the hospice has provided. You need do nothing more.

St Richard’s is an independent charity and relies on donations and gifts in Wills for the majority of its income with the remainder funded by the NHS.
