Visiting the In-patient Unit

The In-patient Unit (IPU) is at the hospice in Worcester

It has rooms for patients to stay and be cared for by nurses, doctors, and care assistants

The IPU team gives physical and emotional support to patients and those who care about them.

We also give advice and spiritual support

We make sure our patients and their families are well taken care of.

We ensure the wishes of our patients are carried out, wherever possible.

Family and friends can visit patients during their stay on the IPU

Pets can visit too as long as we know they are coming and nobody has allergies

Visiting hours are 1200 to 2000 every day

If you need to visit outside of these times, speak to a member of staff

Hot drinks can be made for free on IPU.

Or, visitors can buy food and drink from the hospice’s on-site café, called The Green.

The Green is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm.

Hot drinks are available from 8am, cakes and snacks from 10am, and lunch between 12pm and 2pm.
