Streetz Ahead News BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Performing Arts (Dance) Streetz Ahead are set to deliver a BTEC performing arts in dance starting in February 2016. Teachers and mentors will include professionals from the dance and performing arts industry. The course will be based at The Haringey 6th Form College. FlashMob Fitness This is a new and unique way of exercising designed by Streetz Ahead. We were successful in receiving funding to deliver flash mob fitness sessions to primary schools in Haringey and Enfield. In collaboration with Alexandra Palace and EMDP (Exercise Movement & Dance Partnership) all schools will flashmob at the Summer Festival at Alexandra Palace in July 2016 and attempt to break a world record! Work Experience Streetz Ahead continues to provide work experience and placements for young people in stage management, arts administration and dance teaching and assisting. Hairzpray Synopsis 'Tracy Turnblad, a 'not so typical' teenager with all the right moves, is obsessed with the Corny Collins Show. Every day after school, she and Penny, her best friend, run home to watch the show. After one of the stars of the show leaves, Corny Collins holds auditions to see who will replace her. With the help of her friend Seaweed, Tracy makes it on the show, angering the evil dance queen Amber and her mother Velma. Tracy then decides that it's not fair that the hip hop kids can't dance with the twister kids so she tries to find a way to integrate them.
