3 June - 8 July- New Zealand Lions Series 2017 The British & Irish Lions will be hosted in the following cities this year: Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua and Wellington (North Island) and Christchurch and Dunedin (South Island). The Lions Tour is the biggest sporting series to be held in New Zealand since the Rugby World Cup 2011.

SEPTEMBER

Winter Olympic, Paralympic and X Games stars are heading to New Zealand’s Southern Alps once again for the first major championships of the season.

Flights from Queenstown return to Melbourne offer direct flights operate

by Jetstar only. Flight times are around 3.30 hours and usually arrive around 2215 local time. All other operators such as Qantas and Air New Zealand fly via Sydney, Auckland or Christchurch.
