KEY MILESTONES IN OUR COMPANY HISTORY. 2009

OUR START

Stratex was founded by Tristan Harris and Shannon Harris in Derwent Park, Tasmania in 2009.

2011

First Victorian warehouse was opened in 2011 in Bayswater, Melbourne

2013

First Queensland Warehouse opened in 2013 in Bulimba, Brisbane

2014

Stratex wins First Major Mining Tender

2015

2016

Stratex exports first containers into the pacific region.

Moved warehouse in Queensland to Thornside to hold more stock for our growing customer base.

2018

Opened our first warehouse in New South Wales at Prestons with a new purpose built facility.

Continued strong growth in Queensland required increased stock holdings and a move to a larger warehouse in Tingalpa.

2019

Stratex is involved with the cleanup of an environmental disaster after a major oil spill in the Solomon Islands.

Moved warehouse in Victoria to larger warehouse in a more central location – Campbellfield.

Continued growth in Tasmania meant our small offices and warehouse became insufficient and we moved into our current branch in Derwent Park.

MINING STRATEX SUPPLIES SOME OF THE WORLD’S LARGEST MINING ORGANISATIONS SUCH AS BHP, RIO TINTO, NEWCREST AND GLENCORE. AS A RESULT, WE NOW SUPPLY OVER 100 SITES IN THE REGION AND HAVE QUICKLY DEVELOPED A REPUTATION FOR EXCELLENCE. Our focus is on supplying hazardous spill control products, designed specifically for emergency response in the mining environment. We also supply a complete range of P.P.E. With one of Australia’s largest stock holdings, Stratex is a reliable choice for uninterrupted supply, providing customers with peace of mind.

HEAVY MACHINERY, WASTE MANAGEMENT, TRANSPORT & MECHANICAL WE ARE PROUD TO PLAY OUR ROLE IN KEEPING AUSSIE WORKERS AND OUR ENVIRONMENT SAFE FROM HARM. WE HAVE CLOSE PARTNERSHIPS WITH THE TRANSPORT, WASTE, AND HEAVY MACHINERY INDUSTRIES, KEEPING WORKSITES CLEAN AND SAFE.

Our is focus is on creating a clean and efficient workshop environment. We do this through our popular range of absorbents and industrial wipes as well as, our extensive range of bunding and spill kits to ensure the safe storage and the emergency preparedness of any worksite.

GOVERNMENT EMERGENCY SERVICES, DEFENCE AND COUNCILS

Stratex products are used to help protect front line emergency, defence and council services workers who work tirelessly to keep Australians safe. This extensively includes our P.P.E. as well as our absorbents which are widely used by emergency service organisations to clean up spills after motor vehicle accidents.

MARINE Some of the Australia’s largest environmental incidents have called upon Stratex to help protect our precious marine environments. Our range of specialty products help contain and clean up after hydrocarbon spills on the water.

OIL & GAS Energy is the lifeblood of the industry in this country and Stratex is works closely with the leading players to help utilities do this safely for all involved. We are the proud supplier of PPE and absorbents to some of Australia’s largest energy providers.

SPILL CONTROL STRATEX HELPS CLIENTS PREVENT AND PREPARE FOR UNEXPECTED SPILLS THAT CAN CREATE A MAJOR SAFETY OR ENVIRONMENTAL INCIDENT, RESULTING IN WORKPLACE INJURIES AND SUBSTANTIAL FINES.

SPILL KITS Spill kits contain everything you need to rapidly control, contain and clean up spills. We custom design solutions specifically for your business situation. Our products cover spill solutions for oils, fuels, solvents, acids and hazardous chemicals as well as all forms of marine spills.

ABSORBENTS Our spill absorbents are designed for leaks, drips and spills of every kind and every scale, ranging from water, oil, fuel, chemicals, and coolant. No matter where the spill occurs, we have an absorbent suited for different surfaces from soil to bitumen to water.

BUNDING & STORAGE If your facility works with hazardous liquids, then safe storage and containment is crucial to avoid environmental damage, worker accidents or regulation violations. We have a bunding solution to suit any wash bay, fuel depot, or warehouse.

SEDIMENT & SILT CONTROL Industrial, building and civil construction zones can pose devastating risks to our waterways and rivers. Our wide range of sediment, hazardous material, and silt control products including drain protection, dewatering, concrete washout bags, coir logs, silt fencing, and silt curtains, will have your site ready and EPA compliant.

PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety clothing is one of the key measures to ensure your workers get home safe and sound.
