Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. While a recital by Damin Spritzer always includes staples of the organ repertory – played with precision, elegance, and conviction – it is the notoften-heard works on her charming programs that raise curiosity in a wonderfully refreshing way. She has championed and brought to renewed life the works of René Louis Becker, Pierre Kunc, and Mel Bonis (France), Harvey Grace and Alec Rowley (Britain), and Mary Howe (United States), among other lesser-known organ composers. Her five CDs containing this music are heralded in every major pipe organ publication. And without a single spotlight, she lights up the stage and captures the audience the second the doors open!

Statements of Contributions will be sent this coming week to all households with a 2023 Pledge. The statements will provide an update on the Cathedral, an accounting of contributions toward your pledge, and links to make a donation. As you probably know, the Cathedral’s expenses are fairly constant throughout the year. But, in most years the Cathedral receives one-quarter of our income in the last month of the year—leaving the parish in a very vulnerable financial position throughout much of the year. Fortunately, more and more parishioners have chosen to establish a bill pay option through their bank or an automated deduction through the Cathedral’s website.
