Bring your noisemakers for the Palm Sunday procession!

A MEDITATION ON THE PASSION OF CHRIST Join us for one of the most profound and beloved choral services of the year on Palm Sunday, April 9 at 4 p.m. This meditation employs lessons and carols, spirituals, anthems, motets, and congregational hymns to illuminate the Passion of Christ, which is retold using biblical narratives from Mark, Matthew, and John, sung to some of the most ancient plainchant known to the Church.

HOLY WEEK EUCHARIST Experience Holy Week with the Cathedral community. We’ll celebrate the Eucharist Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, April 10–12, at 5:45 p.m. in Mikell Chapel. Our regular weekday Eucharists will be held at 12:15 p.m. in St. Mary’s Chapel on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday as well.

L ABYR INTH Walk the labyrinth this Monday, April 10, from 7–8 p.m. in Child Hall, and experience Jesus’ love and promise to us: “I give you eternal life, and you will never perish” (John 10:28). We will also have a brief orientation at 6:30 p.m. for those who are new to walking the labyrinth or want to learn more.

Come reflect and pray on the labyrinth this most Holy Monday, by walking the way of the cross for life, love and peace through Jesus Christ.

FAMILY LENTEN RETREAT Families are invited to an afternoon Lenten retreat, Saturday, April 8, from 3–5:30 p.m. On this day before Palm Sunday, we will hear the Godly Play story of Jesus and Jerusalem and prepare ourselves for Holy Week. We will also work together on a service project and family activities. Childcare is available for children through age 3.

At 5 p.m., following the program portion of the retreat, we’ll eat dinner together. Dinner is $6 for adults and $4 for children; there is no charge for children through age 3.

The weekend includes old favorites such as s'mores, hiking, rocking on the porch, ice cream, bluegrass and, of course, the famous Kanuga toast. We will offer an adult program on Saturday morning and we enjoy worshiping together in the informal chapel on Sunday. Kanuga Conference Center is located outside of Hendersonville, North Carolina. OUTR EACH FEBRUARY BCM FOOD DRIVE A HUGE SUCCESS St. Anne’s Guild extends a huge thank you to all in the Cathedral community who faithfully support our semi-annual Buckhead Christian Ministry (BCM) food drives each February and August!

The monthly drives undertaken by BCM’s founding churches provide approximately 60% of the food they need. From their budget, BCM then purchases the remaining 40%, spending approximately $9,000 each month on food. The Cathedral’s collection this past February totaled 294 bags of food and a check for $6,626 to BCM. We are pleased to report an increase in food donations of almost 150 bags compared to last February! Great work!

In addition to the tremendous individual giving from our parishioners, St. Anne’s would like to recognize many special group efforts that helped us reach our goal: kudos to Maggie Paul, director of youth ministries, and her dedicated “Souper Bowl Challenge” team that produced 540 food donations and a total of $2634 in friendly competition with Trinity Church in Boston; to Sara Chapman and the children’s ministries team who again set up a “store” where the Cathedral children could shop for BCM and then proudly fill our Atrium bins to their brim; to Shelby Threlkel, Anne Parker, and the teachers and students of the Cathedral Preschool for their special activities to bring awareness to BCM, resulting in hundreds of cans of donated food; to our Cathedral Choir members for their special attention and food contributions; and to all those who helped raise awareness for the mission of BCM and our Cathedral’s part in its success.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY PROJECT Join the Cathedral’s Habitat for Humanity team! We will continue working on Saturdays through April 29.

CATHEDRAL FARMERS MARKET SEASON IS UNDERWAY! Now in its eleventh year, the Cathedral Farmers Market is the largest producer-only farmers market in the state.

Producer-only means that everything at the market has been grown, raised, or made by the seller, ensuring fair prices for both the vendors and the consumers.

The market takes place in the parking lot on Saturday mornings, 8:30 a.m. – noon, beginning April 1, and Wednesday evenings, 4:30–8 p.m. starting April 19.

Market is open rain or shine, in the event of bad weather we move the entire market inside Child Hall.
