THE DEAN'S FORUM HOSTS ADULT CONFIRMATION CLASS Beginning Sunday, February 14, the Dean's Forum will host an adult confirmation class, 10:10 a.m. in Child Hall, in preparation for the confirmation service on Sunday, April 24. Confirmation in the Episcopal Church is a “mature public affirmation of faith and commitment to the responsibilities of Baptism.” This series is designed for anyone who wishes to learn more about the Christian faith, the Episcopal Church, and the Cathedral of St. Philip. Classes will be taught by Dean Sam Candler; Canons Wallace Marsh, George Maxwell, and Cathy Zappa; and the Rev. Dr. Bill Harkins; with a special guest speaker on February 21, Sheffield Hale, executive director of the Atlanta History Center. Anyone who wishes to learn more about the church (or just wants a refresher) is encouraged to participate in this series.
