We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. 4

The Communion
All are welcome to receive the consecrated bread and wine of the Eucharist. You may receive at the altar or at floor-level stations. Stand or kneel and receive the bread (a wafer) in the palm of your hand. Gluten-free wafers are available upon request at the Peachtree (left) altar rail. Receive the wine either by drinking from the cup (guiding it to your lips) or by touching the wafer lightly to the wine. Younger children are invited to stand for easier access to the cup. There is a priest available in St. Luke’s Chapel for prayers for healing. The chapel is located in the South (Andrews) transept. All are welcome.

ADULT EDUCATION 10:10 a.m. A Little History of Religion—Child Hall This summer series considers where religious belief comes from and the search for meaning through history. This morning, we take a look at another religion that looked back to Abraham as its father: Islam. The series is based in large part on Richard Holloway’s book, A Little History of Religion. 10:10 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Sunday Scriptures for Summertime—Room 356 This class will follow the New Testament scripture readings assigned each Sunday. Significant verses will be discussed and supplemented with Greek word studies. The class is perfect for dropping-in and probing interesting features of the Sunday lectionary. Led by the Rev. Thee Smith at 10:10 a.m. and with Jim Bingham at 1:15 p.m.
