TENNIS.

The Tennis this term has suffered mainly from lack of fixtures, and two of these had to be cancelled at the last minute. The team did have one match, however, with R.A.F., Church Fenton, which was drawn. In the Inter-House matches the standard of tennis was remarkably high and showed a notable improvement on previous years.

THE HOUSE MATCHES

The semi-final between Temple House and the Rise proved very exciting. Temple 1st String remained unbeaten throughout the tournament which left the Rise very much behind. They pulled up, however, on the next few games, as the Rise Ist and 3rd strings both won two games each out of three. Hort and Godsmark, the second strings, beat Temple 3rd string but lost the other two.

The final score was : Rise 5 games, Temple 4 games. 50
