Introducing Rohan

Southmead shop volunteer

16-year-old Rohan is a valued team member and volunteer at our Southmead shop. He volunteers four days a week and with an eye for fashion and bags of enthusiasm, he’s a great asset to the team.

A typical day for Rohan would start with putting fresh stock out on the shelves, followed by going through all the new donations and pricing them up. He also dresses the mannequins, showing off the great stock he has in store and how it could look on you, our shoppers. At the end of the day after the shop has shut, he makes sure all the shelves and stock are looking good, ready for another day.

‘You get paid in learning, in respect, and in experience’.

Rohan became a volunteer because he wanted to do something positive for the community, while helping the Hospice. He’s also gaining valuable retail and workplace experience that could come in handy in the future. Rohan is just one of the dedicated volunteers who help keep our 46 shops running smoothly. Our shops wouldn't be here if it wasn't for people like Rohan - thank you.
