As we begin our second school year, we are excited to share with you and publish our first ever Annual Report for St Peter Catholic Career & Technical High School The purpose of publishing this Annual Report is to show our gratitude and recognize all of our contributors who made it possible for us to begin our mission - whether they contributed to the renovations to our school building or helped support our Financial Aid program
Our mission is to empower students to be models of faith through Catholic spiritual formation while providing a creative and comprehensive education in career and technical pathways.
Our mission is vital to our success. It is one that as a board and school community guides us as we work to provide a quality education that is Christ-centered and that focuses on the strengths and skills God gave them.
We will provide a high standard of education while focusing on character building and faith formation. We are career-focused and our goal is for the students to be highly qualified and motivated young adults who will be ready to enter the work force with job-ready skills
On behalf of the St. Peter Catholic High School community, I want to thank you for your support and commitment to Catholic education. In partnership with you, our students will be ready to engage the world.
Peace,
Marc Martinez, Ed. D. Principal
Dr. Martinez is a native Houstonian, as the Founding Principal of St. Peter Catholic Career and Technical High School he has 30 years of experience as an educator and administrator of Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
Greetings St. Peter Catholic Staff, Families, and Stakeholders,
I know that I speak for all members of the St. Peter Catholic Career & Technical High School Board of Trustees that being a part of the founding Board has been an incredibly exciting and rewarding process We have been witness to the hopes and dreams of so many that come together to open this new, first-of-its kind, Catholic High School in our Archdiocese! The mission for St Peter Catholic has been blessed from the very beginning with amazing support from individuals and foundations within our community These sponsors thankfully recognized the need to provide a highquality Catholic secondary education, coupled with career training in today’s leading industries
Board of Trustees Members
The Board, and the Advisory Council that existed before the founding of the Board, have worked incredibly hard to do so many things to make St. Peter Catholic a reality. This included researching career & technical programs, visiting other career & technical high schools, helping articulate the mission and establish the overall direction of the mission of the school, selecting the four pathways, meeting with donors to raise funds, overseeing the construction and renovation of the facilities, and participating in countless meetings. The amount of time and effort has been immense, and it would not have been possible without the support of the Archdiocese, our families, and all of those who came forward to support the mission of the school
It is with a sense of profound gratitude that we are excited to move into our next phase of developing St Peter Catholic Career & Technical High School This year we have grown our enrollment by 160%, welcomed new staff members, including a theology teacher and a counselor, and instituted new traditions like Meet the Teacher and student-led morning prayer The students, staff, and families of St Peter Catholic have an exciting year to look forward to and I hope you will join me in continued prayers for our mission and vision this 2024-2025 school year!
