LEARN. LOVE. LEAD. TIMELESS TRADITION. LEADING-EDGE LEARNING.
At St. Paul’s Episcopal Day School, we offer excellent academics coupled with character development to prepare the leaders of tomorrow.
L EA R N. We are redefining learning at St. Paul’s.
We have created a dynamic, engaging learning environment that sparks curiosity and imagination, and prepares students for life in the ever-changing 21st century. At St. Paul’s, you’ll find students gathered in small groups, asking questions, testing hypotheses, and using real-life scenarios to learn core content. Our highly-trained teachers serve as guides and mentors, providing a safe, welcoming community where students are challenged to use handson learning to explore their world. Our innovative curriculum is project-based and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) focused. STEAM-infused project-based learning
allows our students to practice doing what they’re learning across all core classes. Students may find themselves making a stop-motion animation of the life cycle of a plant, creating a computer-driven rover to explore uninhabitable areas of the rain forest, or developing a new casting system to heal broken bones. STEAM education allows our students to become better observers, collaborators, problem-solvers and problem-finders -- all critical life skills for 21st century success. Our instruction brings learning to life, with a sustained focus on the fundamentals of literacy, writing and public speaking, creating holistic instruction for the whole child.
Our building is currently undergoing a $7 Million transformation to create state-of-the-art spaces that take hands-on, collaborative learning to the next level. New features include flexible learning spaces for all grade levels, an enhanced schoolwithin-a-school for our Middle School students, expanded science labs, makerspace, and more.
LOVE . Developing good students who are also good people.
It’s pretty simple, really. We challenge our students – and ourselves – to treat others the way we want to be treated. Love your neighbor, and we are all neighbors. St. Paul’s is rooted in the centuries-old Episcopal school tradition of rigorous thinking, compassionate citizenship and welcoming community. At St. Paul’s, our students’ academic success and character are equally valued. We strive to develop students who will be ethical
leaders – both today and in the future. We believe that as we develop leaders who are honest, respectful, responsible, kind and inclusive, we will create a brighter future for our community. Character development happens each day at St. Paul’s through daily chapel services and the wise guidance of our teachers and staff. We partner with families to develop good students who are also good people.
ST. PAUL’S COMMUNITY PLEDGE:
As a member of the St. Paul’s Community, I pledge to be honest, to respect others, to take responsibility for my actions and words, to be kind and inclusive, and to help others do the same.
EMBEDDED EXPERIENCES
L EA D. At St. Paul’s, we develop the leaders of tomorrow.
Students are given leadership opportunities beginning in our youngest grades that grow with them as they gain skills and confidence. Embedded experiences provide additional opportunities for students to demonstrate the leadership skills that will make them successful adults.

Lemonade stands for our partner school in Haiti. 8,500+ meals served at Nourish KC. 1,200+ hours of community service by our Middle School students. Creating gifts for hospitalized children. Each grade at St. Paul’s partners with a service organization to provide sustained support. These experiences shape our students while serving our community.
Anchor Trips Studying marine biology in the Florida Keys, discovering other cultures through Heifer International’s Global Village, and more. Our 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade classes each take a strategically-designed trip every year that provides an immersive outside-the-classroom experience, and an opportunity to demonstrate confident learning and ethical leadership.
Welcoming Community. ST. PAUL’S AT A GLANCE
If you ask a St. Paul’s family to describe our school, the first word you’ll hear is community.
We create a safe community for our students to learn and grow -- to stretch their academic, social, and leadership muscles. Daily chapel creates space for shared values, and the routines and rituals that bring significance and connection to our days. It’s a time to share, encourage, and build community. And that community continues into the classroom, on stage,
in the art studio, on the basketball court, and in each experience that defines St. Paul’s. We also provide an inclusive community for the parents of our students. It takes a village to raise a child, and we’re the village for our families. Families find friendship, support, and guidance as they work to raise the leaders of tomorrow.
