Week 1 - Disney Magic (June 5-9)
Disney might be the most magical place on Earth, but Summer in the City at St. Paul’s is a close second! Summer in the City is a place that feels magical, sparks imagination, and encourages kids to explore. This week in camp, we will dive deep into the wonder of Disney including the science behind the rides, hands-on Disney crafts, Disney inspired snacks and more. Feel free to wear your favorite Disney character shirt all week. On Friday we will have a Disney Dance Party.
Week 2 - Planes, Trains & Automobiles (June 12-16)
What makes a plane fly or a train go? Come and enjoy all things art and motion! We will make replicas of moving vehicles while learning about the math and art involved in transportation design. Campers will have a blast sharing and playing with their unique transportation builds in this dynamic camp! Mrs. B will swing by to tune up our math skills by teaching math formulas involving vehicles. Roy Moye III, an aerospace engineer, dynamic singer, and the founder of STEMusic LLC will also help us end the week with a STEM concert on Friday morning.
Week 3 - Amazing Summer Challenge (June 19-23)
Challenge your camper’s mind and body this summer in our amazing summer challenge. Campers will earn points throughout the week during fun competitions designed to get campers working as a team to overcome physical and mental obstacles. The objective is to build teamwork skills while promoting trust and collaboration between campers. Get ready to outwit, outplay, and outlast.
Week 4 - Stars & Stripes (June 26-30)
Calling all patriotic citizens! Join us for a unique exploration of the United States and some of its most memorable moments in history. We will collaborate to create an American flag-inspired artistic work and learn the lyrics and meanings of our nation’s anthem and patriotic songs. We will learn about the history of Independence Day and discover the origins of many of our most popular 4th of July traditions in a fun way!
Week 5 - Around the World (July 10-14)
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to travel the world? Come travel with us to Africa, Europe, Asia, North America, and South America. Campers will make woven mats in Egypt, play ping pong in China, make shamrock crafts in Ireland, participate in carreras de saco in Costa Rica and play futbol in Brazil!
Week 6 - Event Planning 101 (July 17-21)
Join us for a fun week of party planning. Campers will learn how to accessorize parties, send thank you notes, create unique party themes, plan a party menu, table setting, etiquette, and more! When the course is completed, students will receive a certificate as a professional party planner & host their own classroom party. Mrs. B will give us a lesson on the math formulas to help with budgeting for a party.
Week 7 - Splish Splash (July 24-28)
Grab your swimming suit and towel and join us every day for some “cool down fun.” We will spend the week playing in the sun, running through the sprinkler, and making summer treats! We will also have an end of camp picnic and spend time signing Summer in the City camp memory/autograph books.
